oh yeah im sure but i was wondering if anyone knew of codes etc. being left from way back?

Unfortunately, the whole secret code and death traps thing is mostly an invention of Hollywood. Indiana Jones is a far cry from what real archeologists deal with. The closest you will get is the chinese, whose ancient kings occassionally set up some fairly elaborate maps to their hidden treasures.

That they do...take oak island for example...its more than just elaborate

You think? I find it rather simplistic in design. Excellent execution, of course, but basically a deep pit with two water traps.
ForRizzle
I saw and thought it to be amusing. I was not expecting it to actually be real. Worth the rental for general entertainment.

I liked it cool movie went a different direction then I expected to my delight(I expected it to be the grail or some thing of the sort). As to booby trapped archeological finds there have been a few although its rare. ONe of the more interesting ones was in New Jersey. For a very long time people told tales of Blackbeard leaving buried treasure in NJ but no one took it seriously. A while back while working on a johnson and johnson plant a worker fell through a hole in th ground into a previously unknown cave. Low and behold they found the treasure, a dead pirate left to guard it and as I understand it a number of booby traps set. The town built hospitals and schools with the money and the govt now holds the caves.

funnily enough the only blackbeards treasure associated with NJ is Blackbeard's Lost Treasure roller coaster at six flags

OMG!! it was one of my fav. movies ever!!!! haha, i saw it 2x in ONE DAY!! i luv how they found the clues and what not... do you think all the treasure of the Knight's Templar, is in one spot? or do you think its scattered? or do you even think it's been found and is in museums, and most people don't know about it.
