ok this is real...im not making it up...any of it.
at all.
ok?.
right...just so you believe me...i need people to take this seriously.

I thought it was sleep paralysis as I have it quite often. I woke and saw a familliar 'shadow man'. He was standing over my brothers bed looking down on him(i had the impression that his head was bowed). then I realised that I could move. I could see my brother twitching in his sleep and his eyes were fluttering about. This made me really frightened. Then i realised i was seeing th effects of HIS sp. the shadow man lay his hands on my brother and my brother stopped all of his moving completely...just lay there. I remember this all down to the last detail. the 'shadow man' lifted his hands and my brother moved with them...as though the thing had sticky hands. Then suddenly it disapeared and my brother dropped and lay there gasping for breath.

JEEPERS it made me scared because up until then (4 days ago) i thought it was just some chemical mix in your brain triggered when you lay on your back which made you wake while you dream...now im not too sure. Now i think that it is infact as first thought... paranormal and spiritual. this being because it wasnt even my sp and I could see it happen.(note that I could move and breath freely)

I always have had trouble getting to sleep... and even though im 15 i still go to bed at 9 oclock because i get so tired and it takes me until 11:30 atleast to fall asleep.
in MY sp's the shadow man talks quite often...says stuff like "get on with it" and "do you need something?" or "what IS it you are looking for?"...maybe these have some meaning but i cant see it.

if anybody shares these experiences then please reply!!!!
oh and im sure its not a dream...my brother confirmed that it happened as he was conscious enuff to remember it in the morning.

when i explained it to friends they all thought i was making it all up. to be honest it is quite farfetched but its true...every word of it.

I get sleep paralysis sometimes
greychupa
Search on the net for " astral projection " or " OBE". You will see that what you had is quite common. And about the " shadow man", i think you were either seeing things that are not really there while being asleep, or it might have been a neg ( negative entity ).
Nevertheless, nothing to worry about.....Sleep paralysis is a natural thing..And, youre not really paralyzed, that is. Your body is asleep, and your mind, the real you, is awake.
I have this all the time.
Amalgamut
Is it unnatural to not experience SP?

I never have.
raistlin_majere
uh na...its aparently normal to have sp's but personally I would rather not.
its not unnantural to have sp's or have them...but seriously...I consider you lucky.

Whenever it happens to me I feel imensly physically drained in the morning. Like I didnt get any sleep and I just ran a marathon the day before sleepy.gif ...but its been getting better lately.

and also id just like to add...this might be relative...i saw somewhere on the internet, 52 things to confirm if you've been abducted by aliens...or something similar to that...I fit many of the things there... dontgetit.gif ...kinda scary...in one of the sp experiences posted on this site there was one when some guy posted that he had an encounter with aliens while in slepp paralysis...
hmmmm
I dunno...

Yeah I know what you mean.

When you get this "SP" can you just close your eyes and go back to sleep? Or not?

Redicilous. If you had followed up my advice, you would have known what it is by now.
Suit yourself, i wont reply to this topic any longer.

I would also suggest talking to parents or a consoler about seeing a sleep therapist specialist. A couple of nights wired up to an EEG will give you more insight than people with simular experiences. I take sleeping disorders very seriously.

It sounds like an actual entity paralysing your brother. Were you awake then? Even if you're weren't awake there's still the fact that you saw something and he woke up gasping for breath.

.
It's still possible that a fraction of the cases could be caused by natural chemical releases. People say it's a hormone that's released from the bottom of your spine while you sleep. While I'm yet to find out more about this it seems one of the explanations.
It's important to remember that different things could be responisble for the same phenomena. You may find the remains of a crashed UFO with an alien on board and have it scientifically proven that the being is not from Earth but that doesn't mean that all UFOs are ships controlled by aliens.
It could be that certain entities just take advantage of our natural physiological responses and manipulate us to release certain hormones to paralyse us.
The shadow could also be your brothers imagination as an explanation for what's happening to him which created an energy form that somehow you were able to see.

How much does his story corroborate with yours?

why so harsh?
raistlin_majere
yea thats a bit harsh...but then again sorry greychupa...I will google them then.
Im pretty sure its not an OBE (out of body experience isnt it?)

um my brothers story was quite similar...except I only got the end of it...aparently it had been going for like 5 minuites before. And the shadowman had talked...but I didnt hear that.

Mabey You saw Noob Saibot wink2.gif tongue.gif I'm not Sure What to say, I guess its a case of sleep paralysis.
HolyDevil2053
you shouldn't trust what it says.

you should read some of the experiences I have had with them in my topics.

Hey! I related well to your incident. I had have similar incidents since 1996-2005.

I would wake up from sleep and see some damn cloud hovering above me. Sometimes with no shape and other times with a face. Not until recently did I think it was anything more than sleep Paralysis. I was wrong! My wife began seeing the damn thing too. In fact we both saw it at the same time a couple times. Still, I went on with my life as if it were really nothing, just some waking dream. Then one night in late 2004.early 2005, I woke up attacking my wife. I was speaking in an earie voice. I let out demonic sounds.

I don't give a crap what anyone says about my experience. Sometimes you just know in your heart that something is there and it is evil!

Since I have started praying it has not come back. I do no talk in strange languages or stare blankly in my sleep. I think something has been trying to take control of me for quite some time and has failed. Finally it found a way to possess me for a couple of hours or less.

I've been accussed of being a Christian spreading religious banter. And people will tell me that it's a sleeping disorder and that I should have my brain examined and you will also have the same output.

WHich I can agree to their thinking. Dreams can be very very real. It's easy to dream about finding a ton of gold and waking up Happy thinking your a millionaire, but when you wake up and are fully conscious, then see some shape of a person moving around. Theres just no god damn way it's made up. Especially me seeing my statue of Apollo with glowing eyes.

I won't sleep in the dark anymore. I'm afraid of the dark and I'm not ashamed to say that.

I believe what you say, but you know and I know that not many others will until it happens to them.
Mr Ed
I think someone else on this site has told the same story. If you searched you may be able to find out who.

As far as I can remember I've never ever had a case of SP so I guess I@m lucky, but being the person I am I would love to have it just once maybe see some shadow men ar even the men in black grin2.gif

To think of it now, I had one of those sudden wake ups where you just wake up sitting, like you got a shock from a dream or something and you are wide awake the time that happens. Could that be some SP or is it just something tht happens, I've been getting a lot of it lately
