A thread for those to discuss pet cats, or a lack of.
I have two British Creams, Mulder and Scully. Scullys fat as the ace of spades and Mulders the most curious love bug you ever saw

I'll post pictures of mine when I have my digital camera working again.
I had to reboot the cdomputer again

Do your cats sometimes lay very close togethor or on top of eachother? Mine do more often than not. They're in wuv. Even though they both she's. Even though their names are MULDER and Scully.

My cats are as opposite as north & south.
My youngest terrorizes my oldest! It probably has to do with the age difference.

You can read about it in my blog if you so wish but I don't want to post it here, kinda sad really. Anywho, kudos to the darling Walken for creating this tread to praise our feline family members!

These are my two...we raised them from about a week old; they had been thrown in a dumpster behind a Petsmart in Las Vegas...We had to sneak them into the casino with all of the bottles and stuff to feed them. We drove them home, and I had these two guys on my lap or chest everyday while I worked, and they slept between my wife and I until they were about 8 weeks old...no they sleep on our pillows at night curled up against our heads...
They are great cats.

I have 3 outside cats. My son is allergic to haired cats, therefore Izzy works out better in the house. Less dander.

May 12 2005, 07:31 PM
The best moment of having-a-cat is at the beggening when you realise your cats have minds.
Not like that, but they have brains. They see and remember things. When they look at things, they comprehend what they're looking at. They recognise it. They learn habits and Rules.
Scully, a HUGE cat, used to paw at my shoulder when she wanted me to move my head. She'd then lay down where my head was and I'd place it on top of her, like a pillow. Normally a cat would hate this, but she is so fat she enjoys it.
I pat on the sofa and they understand that I'm asking them if they want to come up.
It's amazing
nativechick1989
May 12 2005, 07:37 PM
Walken - Your Scully sounds like my Samantha. I too use her for a pillow, especially when I have a headache, she seems to know and then she comforts me.
I think it's the purring that helps ease my headache.

DEATHBOT 2000
May 12 2005, 07:45 PM
Hi there. Our cat is called Gio. We named him after a footballer. He's seven years old (in human years) and is absolutely insane!
He's very territorial. He won't allow anything into our house or garden without a fight (i don't condone it!), but at heart he's the softest thing you'll ever meet.
His favourite hobbies are sleeping, eating, sleeping, sleeping, eating, sleeping and sleeping.
Here's a pic of the little fella:[attachmentid=14742]
nativechick1989
May 12 2005, 07:50 PM
I can relate to you Deathbot, when Samantha is outside, she chases dogs. She scares the heck out of them, because she looks like a badger when she runs.
Also, her hobbies are a mirror to Gio's.

May 12 2005, 08:56 PM
I have never had a cat of my own, but I grew up with a siamese, which my mother named D.C. (for all those cat lovers who have seen "That Darn Cat."
So this cat is about the meanest, craziest creature I have ever met. His bites have sent my mother to the hospital on 2 occcasions. I myself have lost a pair of blue jeans to him, and he has bitten everyone in the family (enough to draw blood) at least once. I have a very nice scar on my foot.
D.C. is now 18 1/2 years old, and not as mean as he used to be. I still have a theory that this demon cat is staying alive by sucking life from the creatures around him!

Yes they are sensitive to sun and cold. They love heat. So, they tend to snuggle alot and get under your covers. Mine will sit on my fish tank by the computer where I have a desk lamp. He will get as close to that light bulb as he can. He will try and stick his nose to it. I stay after him all the time about that. They are notorious for craving human attention. They are very friendly and love to cuddle and be petted. They never find a stranger LOL. Mine will greet everybody that walks into the house. Then come sit on them. LOL

I have had several cats through out my life, and I must say, they are the friendliest.

They are quite expensive.

We saved for a while to buy Izzy. We did find a lady who had one that she wanted to get rid of due to an illness. Unfortunately, Fuzzy, was old (about 12), and was fed anything she wanted. She didn't live but about 9 months after we got her. She was beautiful. You can look online at several places that offer adoption of sphynx cats.

Well I wasn't going to include Issis... I have moved out of my parents a year ago. I was planning on staying in the same city, so I got a cat. But I have applied to a college and so decided to move away (far away) and so I decided to find a home for him. Issis is 9 months old and a monster. He stole my stuffed cat toy and claimed it as his, he gets "stuff" out of his litter box to play with, so I have to clean his litter twice a day to prevent him (because of this, he now waits until I have done his litter before going). I have even found a "stash" of dried feces that he hid from me..HAAAAAAAAaa (scream).
I never wanted a male cat, I'm more a female cat person. But he chose me, not the other way around. So I was trying to find him an other home, and as I do so, he becomes more affectionate. And only when I'm posting adds or thinking about it. So now my resolve is crumbling away. I found myself answering the phone the other day, and telling a person answering the add that he was already gone. (place head bagging against a wall emoticon here) I'm now thinking of keeping him...
Finding an apartment that alows cats in the new city will be hard enough... I'll have to board him while I'm looking (I'll go stay in a youth hostel). Don't know how expensive that will be (cat boarding)...

For cat lovers
Ok, so every now and then you have to clean your computer screen. But, what about the inside of screen, how do you clean that ??
Fortunately, there is now a website that does this remotely at no cost to you.
First, clean the outside of your screen and then click the link below to clean the inside.
You have to do this, it's very helpful.
