haiLO... I am glad to see someone else appreciated it.....I was starting to think I was the only one on UM who is a Die Hard Star Wars Fan!! hmm.gif

Can't wait until next week!!!!

Me too...actually, i'm readying the book right now grin2.gif . As we all know, it won't have a happy ending...and it just sucks. But so far, the story is awesome and cleverly put together.

I have the book too.....but have yet to read it. And yeah, Im also a die hard Star Wars fan.

Actually, Jedi training has been explained in the video games and novels.

Alot of those have questions have been anwsered. If you are a die hard star wars fan I would think you would know most of those. Though if you have only watched the movies and nothing else, I can see how people might now know..

^ True..............I think that the games filled in a lot of the blanks, and kind of "rounded out" the series a bit more.

Yoda went to Dagobah because Jedi go into hiding if it's at all nessesary. In Kotor 2 (Knights of the Old Republic 2, a video game) all the remaining Jedi have gone into hiding to hide from Sith forces systematically killing all the Jedi. They go to places strong with Force energy. This hides them from the Sith who are using the Force itself to find the Jedi.

Yes, yes they did. Kotor2 has filled in a lot of blanks for me. Though I'm not sure if it takes place pre or post the Star Wars movies. I think it's pre, because there are no mentions of any of the movie's characters.. (Yoda, Mace, Obi-Wan, Anakin and so on.)
Boff
Not just the games. The books (though Lucas says those arent "his true visions of Star Wars") do give you history into things that you wont see explained though.

Even just google things, you will find tons of things. I used to know everything about the Sith for example, where they came from, who the first ones were, even lots of the masters and apprentices.

Dont count on the movies to ever explain everything, cause they wont.

*edit* KOTOR takes place before anything that happens in the Star Wars movies. Long before from what I know.

I'm not a huge fan, but have watched the movies and know a little of the bak-stories. I've wondered about the vanishing part that the article a lot myself. Why do some Jedi's vanish and others do not?

Actually Obi Wan was the only jedi to vanish like that. And why? I really dont know. It has something to do with him and being able to still "come bacK' after he died I think.

But only Anakin, Obi Wan and Yoda know how to do that.

Didn't Yoda vanish off the log when he died in the swamp?
Richdog
I imagine a Jedi vanishes when he has reached a pure and higher level of The Force... but thats obviously just a theory based on my own assumption. And yes, Yoda did dissappear in ROTJ.

I ma also a die-hard Star Wars fan who hates Eps I & II and hopes the third makes up for it... original.gif
