Hi there, I don't know if this topic has come up for discussion before, but I'd like to know about Bodie anyway.

I came across a story about Bodie in a book I was reading, in case you don't know, it was a 19th century goldmining town, which was abandoned in the 1930's and remains exactly the same today as it was when the last residents left. Visitors to the area have reported ghostly events, especially when talking about hauntings etc while in the buildings. Also photographers have found that their cameras fail to work while in Bodie, and any pictures that are taken fail to develop properly.

Judging by what I've read, while the town was populated it was a very corrupt place, with killings and robberies a common occurance.

Anyway, I'd like to know if anyone on the forum has visited Bodie and experienced anything out of the ordinary.

Uck.....I hate ghost towns...lol. I haven't been there but one of my friends has and won't talk about it.....DUN DUN DUN!

I just find it really interesting how the place remains as it was when it was abandoned, although some of it has been destroyed by age or whatever.

I'm a believer that places where there have been bad things going on in the past, such as murders, attract, or rather keep, the spirits of those who lived there.

I believe that completely and it is what i go by or look for when going on an investigation.
