Story behind this is...

In the 1970's,a school bus full of children drove over the bridge in Attalla AL, the wood broke way & the bus fell into the lake, several kids died.

They "rebuilt" the bridge, but basicly patched it up... so when you drive over it, you can litteraly hear the boards snapping... it should be closed down, but anyway i decided to go there after work & heres what happend..

I drove to the start of the bridge, put my car in nutral, had the break on & was listening to music, i let off the break & my car started to roll, now the way i was going.. was uphill, my car rolled all the way across the bridge unteal it got a few inches off the other side & stopped.

Just thought it was interesting....

I've heard of something similar. I don't remember the town, but there is a 'haunted' place in USA where train crashed into a school bus and many children died. After that when you stop your engin at the bottom of the hill where the accident happened, your car will roll up and down as if someone was pushing it. They even made documentary about this. They've put some flour on the back bumper and guess what they saw after the car stopped? Marks of little fingers. yes.gif

I have heard of similar events in places of major accidents back home as well. In most cases however is a warning given either as an aerie voice or a very intense gut feeling.

There are also many stories that describe people feeling a "hand" proding them in the right direction or getting them out of harm's way.

I experienced something like this, someone pulled me when I was about to cross a road not aware of speeding car right next to me. And there was no people behind me yes.gif

Has this been known to happen to other people? or did you just decide to go there to listen to music with your car in neutral? hmm.gif

It sounds strange; but I know of at least a few places where the pitch of the ground seems to be uphill but is actually down. It's a sort of an optical illusion..Usually people make money off these places by naming them "mystery spots" and putting on shows for tourists..
perhaps this bridge could be one of those places?

There is a road near me that keeps developing strange looking holes in the road surface.

Either means the council are lazy or we have a phantom potholer!

The story about the children and the train tracks is supposed to have happened in San Antonio, Texas, but I'm afraid it's an urban legend. The story claims that the streets around the train crossing were named after the children who died, but there was never a bus/train wreck there. The streets were named after the developers' children, I think.

As far as the trick with the flour, there was some suspicion that the woman who did that deliberately engineered it to make for a better story. Even if she didn't, though, probably all the flour did was highlight handprints that were already on her truck from her own children. It's the same principal as fingerprinting. You can check out Snopes for a more complete version of the story.

Just outside of Moncton, New Brunswick, here in Atlantic Canada, there is a place called Magnetic Hill. It is actually an illusion, but if you put your car in neutral at the bottom of the hill it seems to be pulled up the hill. They've made a tourist attraction out of it, charging something like $3.00 per car.
