Hi all, hope you are keeping well.

I was wondering if I could dump a problem onto you guys that you might be able to help me fix.

I'm having problems with my internet, and I can't really explain the problem. Some sites download with no worries at all (good thing this is one of them original.gif )

I hope i can explain this in a way that makes sense. I'm not really that knowledgeable with computers.

Some sites download ok, but as soon as i start scrolling down the page the graphics go all funny and cover the entire page. I've noticed that both sites that have crashed on me have had some video or multi-media content, which may explain it.

Anyway, these are the sites that have had these problems for me. They've both been links that have been posted by people on this forum. But i think it's my internet server:

Anagrammatic

and

MSN Star Wars

Anyone that can decipher my rambling and help me find a solution - I'll be indebted to you.

Until next time,

EDIT: problem fixed! Thanks guys for your help. Err, I didn't actually do anything, it just stopped not working.......

Have you tried using a different browser?
Discordia
Make sure your browser has java and java script enabled. Also if you're using windows, it might help to make sure the windows updates are up to date, sometimes this fixes bugs and problems. Thats my guess with the information given, if you could give more information it might help.

To check the Java go to, Tools> Internet options>Advanced

Sounds like a memory problem to me. Do you know how much RAM you have?
seeking
first thing i thought was a memory problem as well, also, how many other open programs did you have running at the time?
Walken
I was about to suggest the same thing, Mr.Scienceguy.

Try deleting all temp internet files and cookies. That always seems to work for me.

Same thought here. My computer right now is a P.O.S. and it does that all the time to me when I start to run to many programs. When you hit sites with songs and videos that not only takes bandwidth but also memory from your computer. You need to watch how many programs you are running. Also, useless icons in the start bar can be closed for extra RAM. Also if you press "control - alt - delete" you can close programs running blind to save even more RAM. Thats what I do. I hope this helps you. Have a good day! original.gif

It's you scrolling faster than your computer can handle. It's a memory problem, all old computers do this when you're scrolling down a page with graphics. Even text can do it.

Ask someone at a computer store to upgrade your RAM. It's cheap and makes your computer and internet run much smoother.

Try disabling Smooth Scrolling in your browser

IE

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing >> Uncheck Use Smooth Scrolling

Firefox

Tools > Options > Advanced > Browsing > Uncheck Use smooth scrolling

Opera

Tools > Prefrences > Advanced > Browsing > Uncheck Smooth Scrolling

Hey guys,
sorry about using someone elses post to post my problem but it the only way I can post this. My msntv hard drive can't get into the network button to post and I can't reply to people in pm. My harddrive is all I got. 2.9 upgrade is all there is that I using. I don't know what to do next. I found out I couldn't use the network button when I try to complain about not being able to pm someone back. It kept saying you have to have a message. So,I retype the message, Nothing. When I push send it said the same as before, "You got to post a message."
Can you guys help.
