Here's is the thing.

I was often wondering if there is any difference between different ghost encounters. Are the spirits that visit people from "the other side" the same as the ones wandering this world for an eternity?

Or is there something different, like "imprints" of some sort? By that meaning "leftovers" after someone has died. Like a remaining trace of a program haunting a computer. (Nerdy example, I know...)?

Would be interesting hearing thoughts on that.

It could very well be either. Poltergeists and other non specific ghosts may be imprints, while actual spirit wandering around may be the actual soul still in unrest.

I don't think your example was "nerdy" at all and your original question was very intelligent. The answer to it though is much more difficult to find. I think we first have to do a lot more research into ITC and EVP before we can start getting down to THAT degree of nitty-grittiness. Personally I believe that the whole energy scene (unknown enrgy, that is) is a whole world unto itself. If you accept, as I do, that certain scientists who investigated these fields while they were alive and continue to do so from the vantage point of the "other side", such as Konstantin Raudive (who I hope can be aware of this letter), then I think we should try asking THEM about this matter. Of all the questions asked and answers received during the interchange of ideas between Earth and Time Stream, ( or the Summerland) interesting and helpful as they are, never seem to touch on the really important questions that one could put to those "over there". For example the very question you asked should be put to "them". For myself I should like to ask how one lives over there in conditions which seem so similar to the ones we have on Earth without money. That may seem trite but I think it is important. I'd also like to know what star constellation they see over there. On the assumption that what we know as transport here on Earth is not necessary there, CAN one go for a ride on a bike or in a car if one were so to choose? I have understood that on the other side one can eat if one wants though it is not at all necessary. Film footage and still photograhs from the other side (if not faked) would have us believe that people live in houses there and wear ordinary clothes such as sweaters and tweed jackets and yes, even bathing costumes (!) I gather that the next phase of existance we enter after this life on Earth is a sort of adaptation period in which we live in similar surroundings to those we know in this life but we need time to adjust to new spiritual realities. (I can hardly wait) There are hundreds of reports of contacts for the other side saying we should not worry about them or grieve for them as they are very happy and very well thank you. On the other side Mr. Raudive seems to be the most efficient and helpful contact so far, at least according to what I have read and heard and I wonder if researchers here on Earth have ever thought of asking about these things. I have heard of ghosts or spirits which haunt more than one place and reputedly at the same time! I'd like to ask Mr. Raudive about that, too. Does anybody at all on this Forum know whether such "worldly" inquiries have ever been made? If so, please let me know. I am all ears and I have the cat's curiosity.
