I am sharing this story to see if anyone has experienced personally a similar thing.
Have you ever seen a ghost? Really?
I did, togetherwith two of my mates as well, at the same time. It happened 20 years ago, In a barracks of a military school/camp where we were booked to stay for a couple of nights for a friendly invitational baseball game.
Apparently, what we saw was an apparition of a young woman sitting on the cot near the window at the end of this big room, situated on the second floor. The were ten cots in that room. She was sitting on the last one near the window and we were seven cots away from her.
It was 5:45 pm, 15 minutes before dinner time, and being guest in the camp, there was a service bus waiting for us downstairs to bring us to the mess hall half a mile away. Everyone else from our team were on the bus already and there were just three of us left in the room.
One of my teammate(Greg) was just standing there talking about the big game the following morning, while my other mate(Stephen) and I were sorting our shoes laces out and intently listening to him. Then Greg abruptly stopped chatting and when I turned and looked at his face he looked scared and then pointed to us to the direction of the window. I remember myself not moving for about 10 seconds just staring at the apparition. Then Stephen and I almost at the same time, slowly got up with shoelaces still untied but not taking our eyes away from her. We sluggishly walked to the door and onto the stairwell (btw no one ever made a sound while this were happening). As we reached the steps we rushed downwards 5 steps at a time. I actually almost peed on my trousers.
What we saw was a silhouette of a beautiful sad woman sitting on the cot with her body facing the window and her head turned towards us as if asking us to console her. I have a very clear picture of her in my mind but I can not seem to remember her face, all of us know she was beautiful but actually did not see a face.
We never spoke about this with any of our other teammates for fear that they will laugh at us, but on the last day of our stay the Officer-in-charge of the barracks, while we were saying our goodbyes, asked if any of us had a visit from the white lady? Actually she was a very frequent ghost there in that building, she was newly married to this young soldier, whom after a few weeks of their marriage was assigned to a rebel infested area down south and his troop was ambushed and died.
The woman was staying in that barracks whilst waiting for a news regarding the flight of her husband, and when his death was confirmed she committed suicide by tying a rope round her neck and jumping out of the window
Let's hear your story.
