My Father is a Maintenence worker at a big deep wide basement at a building made somewhere in the 1920's called the 'Frances Building'. Which is located downtown of Sioux City, Iowa near the Lower Historic 4th St.

Recently my brother was discarding some construction material for my Dad one day, way in the back of the basement where there are alot of pipes on the ceiling and old fashioned doors everywhere in the Frances Building. And one night my brother got home and he told me he had seen a ghost that day. I didn't believe him of course; (Just because it didn't happened to me, that's how I am). He said that when he was puting the garbage in the barrel, each time he would look up at this cross-hatched wire mesh door in front of him that was opened a little.

He got curious he told me and went and opened the door and looked in and saw this lady hovering there!
My brother told me that he asked 'who are you' and 'what happened?' and he said that she said she got hit by a train. My brother asked if he could help. The second he looked down to step over a piece of lumber and open the door she vanished.
He told me her first and last name but I can't remember it.

My Brother did some research. And if this is true, here in Sioux City, Iowa there used to be train tracks running through historic 4th st. and thats where she must of gotten hit.

Now. I really don't know how the ghost thing works. If you're supposed to belive in them, and if you do they will communicate with you, or vise-versa.
But I want to expierence something with a ghost, but it don't happen.

(since i heard flash cameras can capture ghostly blurs/images;etc)That place where my brother worked, I was going to step back there and take a picture but I can't get passed the first door. Now, I don't believe in ghosts but i want to. Well the reason I can't go back there is BECAUSE my brother told me that. I HAVE something to be a little erie about. Since he is older he has more of a believe-everything state of mind. Since he told me that story, thats the only thing thats keeping me from heading back there.

If someone could help me out on what to do, to get this ghost back with out me being frightened, or what I need to have to even communicate with ghosts/spirits, and also what should the next step be to finding out if that ghost needed or needs some help. let me know.

Try evp recording....see arcadia's post....it's perfect.Get your brother to go with you...it seems that he has the mediumistic power.Also bring a digital camera and snap wawy like crazy.......fair play to your brother for offering to help...most people (including me) would have legged it pronto....to quote Monty Python in the Holy Grail when they came to the man eating cave rabbit......"RUN AWAY RUN AWAY"

This is something that I want to try alone. I know this doesn't make sense if I'm scared, but I really don't ever tell anyone anything. For example if 2 guys in the same day flip me off while I'm driving. I just keep these things to myself so to speak.

What are the chances of the ghost still being there, and when would it come back. - I am a rookie at this.

You should never go alone hunting unless you don't have a choice, but that more like being stubborn. You should always go with at least one other person. Going alone doesn't help you out. what if something happens, who's going to know what happend to you if something does. Maybe not ghosts, but someone waiting to mug you. Keep it professional, bring someone along to also verify. What if you do have a story because something really did happen, no witnesses to validate.

If you are going to do this, it is best to go with someone. Somebody who can verify what you see. Bring a good quality camera, and a tape recorder. If there is a ghost, you have a chance to experience it. If not, well, then there's nothing to worry about, is there?

Perhaps I can't find anyone that believe in ghosts, besides my brother. I'll try him.
