but not sure if what i got is the recent game or not
my internet at home not working at the mo
so does anyone here play it?

Do you mean you downloaded a client? If so, the game automatically updates every time you open it.

Argh I hate runescape. I played it for months, then realised how lame it actually was and now I can't believe that I ever played it for so long.
Stick to Diablo 2.
