i just read an E3 update on gamespot about a new Zombie game called City of the Dead, and its by George Romero. this is honestly one of the coolest and most fun looking zombie games ive ever heard of. HERE is the link.

Pretty cool, i did hear about it briefly but haven't seen anything of it yet. Does it have pictures? I'll have to check it when i get home.

OOOOHH THAT GAME!! Yeah i know all about that one and to be honest, i'm not really that thrilled about it. It would have to be something pretty spectacular in my opinion. I mean, it's a FPS, and all you do it run around shooting zombies. Woo.

Although that been said, it would be fun for a rental one night. Alot of fun.

well there is more to it than JUST shooting zombies. theres around 14 or so story missions, which basically is all shooting zombies and getting to different places so yeah. there are multiplayer modes, including a co-op mode where one of you can become infected and later go after your partner when you turn. you can combine melee weapons with your guns, for instance, putting a shovel on the butt of your shotgun or putting brass knuckcles on your pistols. there is also an arcade mode featuring a bunch of different challenges. but i guess it is mostly shooting zombies, but theres never anything wrong with that. ive been wanting so see a game where its just pure zombie survival. no mutant monsters or ridiculous puzzles to solve. just shooting and escaping. hordes and hordes of zombies.

A VR zombie survival horror game would be cool.

haha yes it would. i always think about having one of those in the future and how insanely awsome that would be. i dont care how old i am, i just want there to be one in my lifetime.

I was always looking forward to seeing one in the local arcade or something. You know those little boths where to step in and put the goggles on and interact with a virtual environment. That whole thing just seemed to dissapear..

what about live action zombie stuff, that would be neat, I mean it's the closest you'd get....

or a simulator like those badass Battletech ones - woohoo!

Its called dead rising and will be for the xbox 360. this looks so much better but its not by George Romero. Thats the only bad thing about this game. Watch the movies on it. they will blow you away.

You can't compare a third person beat-em up with a first person shooter. They may both have zombies, but they're completely different games.

Very true. The first person on looks like it needs some work. It will probbly be good on release date. Also its Romero so it has to be good. I have to play this game on relese day.

FPS games aren't exactly known for their story so i don't really think having Romero on the team will make much of a difference really.

Awesome, theres nothing like running around and killing as many zombies as possible in as many ways as possible.

Yeah i;m not big on any Zombie game being FPS.

Not to sure about the romero one graphics look kinda whack and i agree with burnside theyll probably favour style over substance and it's being made by kuju, how many big hits have they had??

Well, City of the Dead isnt even close to being done, so thats why the graphics dont look as well as they could.

Dead Rising looks cool. They will probably put a lot of humor in that ones though. I mean, throwing mannequins? That's just cool, then piledriving the zombies to finish them off.

City of the Dead will probably be more of graphics and scariness kind of thing.
