It was pretty average IMO, better than ep 1 and 2 but they don't take much beating really

after seeing episode 3, i watched 4-6 with in the next few days...4-6 make so much more sense now
BurnSide
Yeah no kidding eh.

One question though, if you're trying to hide Anakins Skywalkers baby son from him, why in the worlds would you call it SKYWALKER?? Hello??

I was watching the first original star wars again and was kinda thinking how come Darth couldnt sense Lea as his daughter when he has her in capitvity and is planning on executing her with a lethal injection on his ship.. He can always sense Ob1 and Luke.. Why not Lea? He was right in the same room with her?
Talon
Maybe cause she had no idea how to use the force at that time, but Luke and Obi did

I thought it was an ok movie.
The scene at the end with the black and white contrast when anakin get's put into the suit are amazing.
But when he talks it ruins the scene

8/10
final flight
seeing darth vader in his suit was one of the best moments of my entire life.
Talon
...it was cool but I can think of far more important things tongue.gif
seeking
i saw episode 3 again last night, and that part where vader screams "no" isnt as bad the 2nd time around
Subtemperate
I disagree....lol

Not that i think its "bad" but because i think it takes you into the thinking of soap opera acting, rather then a motion picture event.... Anything that when you watchi it makes you think of something else like that, detracts from the experiance...

I think it's because he had no forknowledge whatsoever of a daughter. He at least knew of the existance of Obi Wan and Luke. Maybe he felt a twinge of the force in her but dismissed it. Im sure that many people have low-level force attunement.

One thing that bugged me: Yoda gets a bunch of crap tossed at him by the Emperor and falls, so he decides to go into hiding? seemed a bit out of character to me. You would think he would try again. I dunno.

And Anakin, so worried about Padme, decides to join the emperor.............the same guy who he now knows is the SITH LORD THAT TRIED TO KILL HER IN THE PAST TWO MOVIES! Did he FORGET about that??

BTW...the Peter Cushing Grand Moff Tarkin look-alike was one of the sweetest things about that movie.
BurnSide
hahaha i guess he did forget about that. laugh.gif Dumbass.

I hated that Yoda gave up too. Like, wtf, could they not think of a better way to get Yoda into hiding? 'Failed i have, into exile, i must go'. WHY? Why not get back in there and whoop his ass again??

Exactly. Seems like a writer's cop-out. LAME.
Mad Manfred
I thought it was odd how they just gave up too.

I mean, Yoda and Obi know the location of the clone army supply...why not take a small willing rebellion (which shouldn't be hard with all the races who stand to lose) and shut them down?
Mad Manfred
Also, an observation:

When Yoda tells Obi that he must kill Anakin Obi asks how he's going to find him.

Yoda tells him to search his feelings and the force and he will find him.

Obi is next seen stowing aboard Padme's ship.

So is that using the force? Stating and doing the obvious?

I don't know about 'sweet', but yeah I liked the guest appearance.

the thing with that is padme never told anyone she was leaving to go see anakin, obi had to use the force to realize she was leaving to go see him

Speaking about Yoda...it said in the book of a scene where Yoda is in Dagobah, lounging about and inspecting.

They didn't show it in the movie, I think that ruined the whole interest in me...Yoda is my favorite character crying.gif . Yoda is an important aspect, and then they don't show Yoda in Dagobah...

Maybe the next Harry Potter movie can change drift mind...
seeking
my favorite star wars character besides darth vader, has always been jango/boba fett
MonkeyMan
Darth Vader is the best. No Debate about it.

Or he just used his head and assumed she'd go to Anakin after their chat. Its not like he had any other leads tongue.gif
seeking
i know what you mean lol

but thats kinda what yoda was saying to obi anyway....use your head and you will figure it out on your own
Mad Manfred
Guess you don't need an IQ over 90 to become a Jedi Master these days eh? tongue.gif
VDe
Maybe they didn't show some things in the movie, but movie was interesting for me and Yoda is my favorite character.
Mad Manfred
Another thing thats bugged me slightly since Episode II...how can something so small (Yoda) have the physical strength of someone triple his size?

Also, why does he bother with the walking stick and limp when we see him jumping around effortlessly in battle? Is it a ruse to throw off his enemies?
Potholer
I'm guessing it's the force giving him the extra strength. How could anyone lift a space ship out of a bog? The force. Plus, maybe he uses the force to do all the fancy acrobatics and then conserves his power by using the walking stick when he doesn't need to move fast.
Ashley-Star*Child
I have never been into Star Wars, but I saw Episode 1 and 2...was ok. I did however, actually want to this one (III), where he turns into Darth Vader. It was good, and it actually had me wanting to watch the original movies (my brother's mad on it, the whole box set is here tongue.gif) but, I must say, 1. he switched sides too quick and 2) the way he got er, *demolished* to need that suit really sucked. Honestly, it didn't have to be THAT bad.

i don't understand why lucas had such a hard time with the love story between annakin and padme. i mean he did an excellent job with han and leia. i was always enthralled by their story.

Aparently for the original movies Fox had their own script writers go through his work and edit his scripts for the final movies.

In the new movies he kept his original scripts.

That would explain the suckiness, and stupidity of the creator of a much beloved series.

well that makes sense then.
it would have made sense for that to have been done for the love scenes in the recent movies, i think.
BurnSide
The two best movies, with the deepening love between Han and Leia, Empire and Jedi, were as Talon said, not entirely written by Lucas.

He should have gotten help to write it again. Then it could have been much better.

At least the stink of cheese wouldn't have been in the theatre..... wait a sec.....*sniff sniff*..... that's nacho cheese on my shirt.... oops blush.gif
