It was suprisingly good, I thought it would suck. Anyway, did anyone else hear the droideka speaking French in the beginning?! I swear I heard one say "Parlez vous?"

I hear Lucas and his children make appearances in the movie. Lucas has never made an appearance in a Star Wars movie before, but both his children have.
Oh, the dialogue was pretty bad as usual.
Anakin: You're so beautiful.
Padme: It's only because I'm so in love.
Anakin: No, it's because I'm so in love with you.
"Love won't save you Padme, only my new powers can do that."
Also, the part where Vader raised his arms at the end and screamed, "NNNOOOOOOO!!!!" was pretty amusing.
And did Lucas run out of ways for people to get injured/die? At least six limbs were lost in this movie.
Yeah....
**SPOILERS**
The Death of Dooku
The movie starts out with Anakin and Obi-Wan on a mission to rescue Palpatine, who was taken hostage by Grievous. Obi-Wan and Anakin encounter Count Dooku in the room where Palpatine is being held. Using the force, Count Dooku sends Obi-Wan flying into something, knocking him unconscious. Anakin gets mad and cuts Dooku's hands off, and takes his lightsaber. Anakin doesn't want to kill Dooku, but Palpatine tells him to, so he cuts his head off with both lightsabers. They find Grievous, but he escapes.
The three return to Coruscant, where Padme tells Anakin that she's pregnant. Then there's a scene where Anakin has a nightmare that Padme dies during childbirth.
Palpatine vs. Jedi Council
A while later, Palpatine requests a meeting with Anakin. He tells Anakin that he wants him to be his personal representative on the Jedi Council. He suspects the Council of wanting more power, and he wants Anakin to tell him what they're up to.
The scene ends, and we see Anakin in the middle of the Jedi Council chambers. Mace Windu puts him on the council, but doesn't grant him the rank of Master. Anakin goes nuts and says it's unfair and outrageous, and he says he's more powerful than any of them. Mace Windu tells him to sit down. He says he's sorry, and takes a seat while everyone shakes their head.
After the meeting, Obi-Wan tells him that the Council wants Anakin to report on all of Palpatine's dealings. Anakin says it's against the Jedi code and refuses to take the assignment. The scene ends with Obi-Wan saying "The Council is asking you."
Shortly later, Yoda goes to the Wookie planet (wherever that is) and meets Chewbacca. And Obi-Wan goes to some planet, where Palpatine thinks Grievous is hiding.
Obi-Wan and General Grievous
Obi-Wan lands his ship on some planet, and is greeted by some guy with really bad teeth. Obi-Wan tells him that he needs fuel, and asks if he could use the planet as a base as he searches nearby planets for Grievious. The guy with the bad teeth leans closer to Obi-Wan and tells him Grievious is on the planet, and that they are being held hostage. Obi-Wan goes to his ship and tells it (or the droid) to send for help.
Obi-Wan gets this giant lizard thing for transportation and goes to a platform above conference room where Grievous is. He jumps down into the room, and is immediately surrounded by guards. Grievous tells them he'lll deal with Obi-Wan himself. He tells Obi-Wan that Count Dooku taught him the ways of the force. He takes his robe thing off to reveal that he has four arms, and takes four lightsabers from his belt. After they fight for a while, an army of clones arrive and start shooting and whatnot. Grievous runs away, and Obi-Wan chases him on his giant lizard.
Obi-Wan kills him with a gun.
Palpatine Under Arrest
After the Council finds out that Obi-Wan has engaged Grievous, they ask Anakin to report the news to Palpatine, and see how he racts. They talk for a while, and Palpatine reveals that he knows the dark side. Anakin realizes that Palpatine was the Sith Lord all along. Palpatine tells Anakin that knowing the power of the dark side can save Padme.
Anakin meets up with Mace Windu and tells him that Palpatine is the Sith Lord. Mace Windu tells him to wait for him until he returns.
Mace Windu enters Palpatine's office, accompanied with three other Council members. Mace Windu tells him he's under arrest. Palpatine goes nuts, takes out his lightsaber and they all start fighting. Palpatine easily takes out two of the Jedi, which leaves Mace Windu and Kit Fisto. Fisto dies a few seconds later, and Windu and Palpatine continue fighting. The fight is carried towards the window, and the glass is shattered in the heat of the battle. Palpatine drops his lightsaber and falls on the ledge of the window. Anakin runs in to see Mace Window's lightsaber at Palpatine's throat. Palpatine does his thunder bolt thing, which is blocked by Mace's lightsaber. Palpatine and Mace Windu try to persuade Anakin to help them. Palpatine says he can save Padme if he helps him. After like five minutes of that, Palpatine's powers give out and he begs Windu not to kill him. (He's faking it.) Mace Windu raises his lightsaber, and as he's bringing it down to kill Palpatine, Anakin cuts his hand off. Mace Windu stares at him in shock, and Palpatine blasts him out of the window with his lightning bolts.
Palpatine then makes Anakin his apprentice and gives him the name Darth Vader. They then decide they have to kill all the Jedi.
The Jedi are Hunted Down
The movie cuts to Obi-Wan on the bad teeth guy's planet. He tells a clone commander to move his troops to the higher levels. Obi-Wan starts riding up on the side of a mountain. The clone commander gets a hologram on his comlink from Darth Sidious, tell him to execute order sixty-six. The commander puts his comlink away and orders a nearby trooper to fire at Obi-Wan. The mountain Obi-Wan's on is blasted, and he falls into some water below.
Short scenes are then shown where clones are turning against the Jedi. Two clones tried to kill Yoda, but he killed them before they could shoot him.
After killing a bunch of children in the Jedi Temple, Anakin tells Padme that he has a mission from Palpatine to go somewhere, and he leaves. On his way to some planet made of lave, Anakin kills those two trade federation aliens.
Padme decides to follow Anakin, and has a ship prepared. Right before the ship takes off, Obi-Wan, who returned to Coruscant with Yoda, sneaks on board.
There's a huge fight scene with Yoda and Palpatine in the Senate Chamber. Yoda escapes with the help of Bail Organa.
Padme's ship arrives on the planet where Anakin is at, which is made of lava. Anakin recognizes the ship and runs to meet Padme. She tries to convince him to come back with her. Anakin sees Obi-Wan standing in the doorway of the ship, and gets mad, and force-chokes her. Obi-Wan tells him to let her go, and he releases his grip. She falls to the ground. Anakin and Obi-Wan have a battle over a lake of lava. (They were on a floating platform.) Obi-Wan eventually jumps onto the edge of the lava river. He tells Anakin that he has the higher ground. Anakin accuses him of underestimating his power. He does a front flip towards Obi-Wan, and gets his legs and arm cut off, and falls near the edge of the lava.
After Obi-Wan and Anakin yell at eachother, Anakin becomes engulfed in flames and starts screaming. Obi-Wan walks away, and goes back to Coruscant with Padme, who's still unconscious.
Sidious goes to the planet and saves Anakin.
Padme gives birth to twins, and dies. Bail Organa offers to take care of Leia, and Obi-Wan says he'll watch over Luke on Tatooine. The movie ends with Obi-Wan giving Luke to Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.
Phew. And sorry about the sloppiness near the end... I got lazy.

I saw it last night and thouroughly recommend it for all Star Wars fans.
As has already been mentioned there are some very cheesey moments, the Darth Vadar scene is great till he shouts "Nooooooooo" when hearing of Padme's death, I think a silent fall to his knees would have been more appropriate here, rather than an angry hand waving.
Also, Anakin seems to turn to the dark side in about 5 minutes, in one scene he's grassing up the senator for being a big nasty Sith Lord, and in the very next scene he's pledging allegence to him!
Still a great film though, but what do I have to look forward to now? It's like watching the final Lord of the Rings, I don't know what to do with myself!

I disagree.... Not that I thought she was good in the movie, but I blame the writing of Lucas..... He showed in the second episode he had trouble writing parts that revolved around love in such a way... and his trend in this one continued as such...... Natalie could only work to what the director wanted her too, and to what was written....

Yes, I saw the movie.
Special effects on a scale of 1-10: 5,347,578
Acting on a scale of 1-10: 6. R2D2 did the best acting in the movie. But I guess the others did the best they could with what they had.
Script/Writing on a scale of 1-10: 3. What happened, George? Love ain't that hard.
I adored the first trilogy. I hated the last two. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. And yes, though Anakin still rankles me, he was hot as a bad boy.
Even with its faults, the overall picture, and the effects, made for a great experience.

well through out the whole movie you can see anakin struggling with his confusion on what is actually right and what is wrong, he came to the conclusion that palpatine was wrong and informed mace windu of him being the sith lord, when mace had palpatine cornered and was about to kill him, it made him wonder if maybe the jedi did turn currupt, anakin was then faced with a choice that he had to make quickly...
A) should he let mace kill the sith lord even thogh it is against the jedi ways?

should he stop him from killing him because of it being against the jedi ways?
or
c) should he stop him from killing him not because it was against the jedi ways but because he was looking out for padmes sake?
...when mace went to strike palpatine, anakin made his split decision and decided to align himself with the sith in order to save padme, mace's actions played a big part in anakins decision..i believe that if it were not for mace trying to kill palpatine, anakin would never have turned to the dark side

Poor Jedi, that was sad when everyone got killed.

Excellent movie. Fantastic incredible battles, wow!
And when Kenobi opens up Grevious, you actually see that there IS living matter inside the machine Kratos, that was the whole point! That's why in order to defeat Grevious, Kenobi had to shoot him directly into the living matter, and destroy it.

Yes, I thought that was brilliant! The very thing he was trying to avoid, he ended up causing.
And I must say I did appreciate the shirtless Anakin.
Did the way they cut scenes annoy anyone else? With the squares, receding/expanding circles, the patterns....*screams* It really really annoyed me. Really. Saying that though, I quite enjoyed it. My friend and I decided that Lucas is simply brilliant at action sequences but he cannot fort he life of him do dialogue or love. I believe the only reason the acting was bad was due to the bad scripting. The scene with Anakin and Obi Wan at the end was heart breaking and pathetic and well acted, I think.

All of a sudden in Episode 3 all the clones start wearing battle armour uniforms resembling the storm troopers, and they all turn out to be bad and working for Darth Sidius/Palpatine. She when Palpatine announces the creation of the Galactic Empire, all the clones become the army of the Empire. The storm troopers.

They had to keep the scene changes like that really. It was done like that in ALL the original movies, so they couldn't change them,. but i'm sure it annoyed everyone.

Good acting, i thought. For what they were given, good acting. I felt Obi Wan gave the best performance. The part when Vader learns he killed Padme and screams NOOOOO!!! while shaking his little metal arms around was just awful!
