Ok so what was the final verdict? On how they moved those stones?
starlitkate
Didn't they move the stone by something like using the river to carry the stones on then they used wood or something with rope and a few hundred thousand men to hoist them up???
LucidElement
SImple....... telepathyyyyy.. or other life beings, i stilll stand by that theory, that it is other beings that helped the ancient civilaztions do the things they do!
Bone_Collector
I think they built the pyramid step by step, piling sand and mud on all its four sides, making the structure virtually submerged in sand and then sliding the rocks over the slanting paths using wooden planks and rope pulled by the workers. After the construction of a step, they then would've raised the level of the sand all around the pyramid to allow the stones to be pulled over to the next step.
Thus, after finishing the costruction of all the steps, they would clear away all the mud and sand piled all around the pyramid, revealing the towering structure. Just my two cents.
DJ_Quinn
Your theory has a fault. Sand and mud is not dense enough to support the heavier blocks unless it is extremely compressed, and then it would be more difficult to clear away afterwards.
Gravel and sand would be an alternative.
Forget about mud, it presents too many problems.

Other than that, your theory explains how the blocks could have been vertically transported. I've always thought that it was ramps.
starlitkate
Ramps did have a part in helping lift them from bottom to top.
Amalgamut
Maybe they had push carts?

What about  levitating rocks?

The Necronomicon
The Ancient Book of the Dead
And Communication with our Sumerian Ancestors of Earth

This book I believe to be an accurate description of the Spritual Beings, Aliens and Evil Spirits, that our ancient Sumerian Ancestors worshipped and believed in, albeit  very strange and lurid, most of the facts are referenced to another more formal site, which I have linked on the fifth part of Necronomicon.  Strange Realities........

Written in Ancient Times.....circa 738 A.D., by an Arab who roamed the sacred places....as a nomad....and this is his story.....

Let's do a bit of arithmetic here. The Sumerians were in power before about 2600 BC, or about 3300 years before that Arab roamed the "sacred" places. There wouldn't have been much more for that Arab to see than there is now, as mud brick doesn't really last that long, and most of what the Sumerians built things of was mud brick.

Oh i'd love to know you're source for that one.
Most of the ziggurats and temples on the earths surface were built of mud brick
Teotihuacan is built from mud brick
the ziggurat at ur was built from mud brick
they're both still standing
That makes the ziggurat of ur 5000 + years old
heres a picture
user posted image
as you can see it hasn't really lasted that long. w00t.gif w00t.gif
Oh by the way you know that you can fire mud brick so that it last thousands and thousands of years....right ?

The difference between pyramids built from stone and ziggurats built from brick is the location of the quarry and the manpower available
Thats it
