The legend which I am about to present was told to me when I was very young and despite I refer to it as a legend it does bring up an issue regarding the life of Jesus Christ that is a valid conclusion. This being that the Romans new of the existence of the Messiah prior to his birth having accessed Isreals libraries quite some time before Jesus was born.
The legend also cites that Abraham also had the power to raise the dead and that this information is included in the dead sea scrolls but has not been revealed to the masses as of this time.....
Rome's leaders having been made aware of the coming of the Messiah were actually very concerned.
As a result of their research, they had concluded that this person was to be a very powerful mystic so much so that no other had been on earth like him (near him in power) since the days the Egyptians ruled the world. To them the threat was very real and for several reasons foremost, was the influence a person would have on others if he had the power to raise the dead.
No army could defeat him or those who would choose to follow him and as
it seemed, according to Israeli text, a warrior with the power of a God would
soon be born within their borders.
To make matters worst this man would not be a Roman implying to them, that their empire as, well as their people would not survive. There Romans were a proud people and in there arrogance they had long ago destroyed records, related to the prophets, which had been the beginning of Roman society.
They realized that before they did anything about the matter of Jesus they would need to further investigate what could be done to stop this attack. Attempts to question the Jews had not resulted in the answers they were looking for the roman soldiers which had been sent to investigate had reported that it seemed apparent they were holding something back. The Egyptians were also approached, but it had been so long since such a prophet had ever existed in Egypt they simply could not provide anything more than did the Jews.
The Roman Senate clearly lacked what they needed to deal with this problem and they were certain, that by virtue of what they had ascertained on there own, that answers were available. It was therefore decided that since no other recourse existed they would have to approach the Chinese.
The Romans had learned to travel around Continents it was a part of there legacy, they did this by keeping there ships within 12 miles off the coast, throughout the journey. If a storm or some other problem occurred they would stop and go to shore returning on their trip when conditions improved.
Since the days Egypt ruled, trade in silk was common place though the Roman's had never been directly involved in contact with China.
This was something they could use to their advantage.....
Several ships were built, but only so as to design them to portray its
passengers as messengers sent by others. Besides, the Chinese may
recognize other vessels and know of their history.
A group of Egyptian priests as well as Israeli Judges will accompany the
contingency. They will present the proper attitude in the presence of the
Chinese at all times.
This to be guaranteed by the time the ships are ready to sail................
