Hi, I visit this site every day, but I've never posted before. Over the last few days my wife, who has a fondness for webcams, has noticed some interesting anomolies in some pics from Grindlewald, Switzerland. First she notice something we thought was a reflection at the same time every morning, around 9:16 Gindlewald time, then last night she noticed something in the air over the mountains. Attached are the pics. This is probably something very ordinary, but it looks really strange. Anyone got any ideas?

Nice pictures thumbsup.gif

But I have no idea what I'm suppose to be looking at. Do you mean the little candy corn looking thing?

Yeah, which is huge compared to the village, it changes shape every time the cam refreshes. The two pics with the spheres came after she noticed the "reflection".

The first two pictures are partially inverted, the small dot is the sun. You can see clearly in the other pictures the colours are normal, and there is only a bright glare where the dot is in the inverted pictures. The sun.
That's how it looks anyway, since the colours are completely off.

And in the other pictures, it's quite obvious the small object is glare from the sun on the camera. It's especially evident in the last picture.

So the reflection is on the webcam itself? Cause it sort of looks like it's something shining up out of the trees.

Actually, the pics that come up when you click on the links are no where near the quality of the one's my wife saved. I would suggest going to the webcam site itself and looking. I don't remember that sudden quality change there.

Okay. What is the site?

www.grindelwald.net

However, on closer examination I think you're right...I took several pictures that my wife snapped in succession and viewed them through slide viewer, and from 8:06 to 9:11, and you could see the sun move up, then the color gets better and you can actually see the glare move down the lens until it appears to be in the trees.

Mystery solved, sadly.

Thanks
