maybe cows once ruled the world and the aliens of old had storys about them, then descents of that race come to earth NOT KNOWING humans rule!

Um or it might be because bovines have 3 stomachs. They are herbavores and they taste really good.

first rule of cows is don't mess with them! the are skittish, and you will not do well if one charges you or they stampede!

maybe the aliens are altering the cows in a way to achieve their desired effect on humans? (the growth hormone in cows is identical to the one in humans)
