I've been collecting since I was 16. I now have about 9200 comics.
The books I currently collect are Wolverine, all the X-Men related comics and the Hulk.

i dont collect comics but i do like reading the marvel sagas, although i do not own one of them. Yep, thats right! I download them.
About 4-6mb each but I only download the sagas i want to read. I had the onslaught saga and now i'm trying to get the Age of Apolopyse saga. Although when you d/l them you have to sort them out yourself so you know which one to read in order.
If those comics existed in stores i would buy them (reading on the computer screen for too long hurts my eyes) but i didn't even know anything about these saga until i read i the internet, now there a few years old so you can't get them anyways

AoA is awesome, if you have any questions about it PM me or ask here
I have quite a few comics...but don't count them as I sell them frequently.
I usually get pretty much all the X-Titles, Avengers, Thunderbolts, Runaways and many others.

I am not sure on how many we have but we have a spare bedroom full of them and the ones that we have had rated we have the ones that are worth alot in binders in backing covers so they will not be messed up. we have been collecting them for awhile now and we got over 10 boxes of silver and golden age comics from my uncle that was cleaning out his storage building, there are just so many we have yet to go throught all of them. we have started putting all the titles together and the titles that run off of the main ones we so far have 2 full comic boxes of Amazing spiderman, a few boxes of Uncanny X- men, web of spiderman,x-men, we have doubles of all the Hulks we have, remind you they are not new ones they are volume 1 on alot of them
Mad you said you sell them are they only new comics?

The only place that I'm aware that does this is the official sites at Marvel and DC...and they are REALLY outdated (they still have early issues of Ultimate Spider-Man).

Downloading from those sites is bad and ethically wrong!
Now that we've gotten that out of the way...what keywords would you suggest?

When I was a kid I read lots of comics. I'd say that I have around 3000 give or take.
But it's been at least 10 years since I bought a comic book.

One thing that bothers me is the fact the comic book collectors always seemed to be stereotyped as overweight, nerdish loners that never have or never will have a significant other.
It's seems as if other types of collectors, sport cards ect., get quite a bit more respect then we do.
Sometimes I'm very wary of telling people I collect comic books because of the reaction I get from them.

Well, as someone with a beard in his early twenties, six foot and has a thing for bandana's and leather...I have no problem whatsoever in telling someone I read comics

I'm not very big on comics, I prefer books.
Having said that, I do get Shonen Jump once a month, they have some of the best comics I've ever read and they seem to be the only comics that really catch my interest.
For those that don't know, Shonen Jump is a "magazine" containing 6 main comics, brief news and updates about certain games, and the occasional guest comic. The whole thing would be alot better if I didn't have to wait a month for the next issue though..

I read Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Squee!, Lenore, all the funny ones. I mostly have comic books about gamers though, like Knights of the Dinner Table, Dork Tower, Nerds, and PvP.
