Just want to pop in and say hello to all.

I have been ph34r.gif 'lurking' ph34r.gif for a few weeks now simply reading threads on several different subjects.

My wife and I just built our home in Preble County, Ohio. So obviously I have an interest in the 1977 Bigfoot Incident in Preble County, Ohio.
My mother also claims to have seen a large dark figure running along the fence line of the back part of their property around the same time frame that the Preble County Incidents, but never reported them due to fear of ridicule.

I have always had an interest in cryptozoology, going back to my high school freshman days when I met with the head of the Zoology Dept @ Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. - I went to high school in Oxford...

Thanks for the indulgence,
JayRob303

Welcome big dog, always great to have a newbie around.
Congrats on the house, my wife and I just bought our first house less than a year ago. We didn't have it built though, were not that rich. Or rich at all for that matter.
And crypto is my second favorite UM discussion board, and your cool as long as you dont go all "chupa" on me.

Hiya Jay,

I also am an alien.gif embryo. I used to live in Ohio and considered UM, but I live in Seattle now. We have some of our own bigfoot stories out here in the NW.

My wife and I have 5 1/2 acres up against Rush Run Wildlife Preserve. It used to be farmland.

I believe in it's existence, but I also believe that a majority of the 'sightings' are made up or an honest mistake. But even if only 5% of the sightings are lagitimate, that still means it is out there somewhere.

There's a possibility then that sassy could be lurking around. What other sort of wildlife do you have in the area?

For your mum, did she give you any details other then a dark figure? Could it have been a person running around?
JayRob303
Natural wildlife around us are the normal for the area...deer, coyote, fox, rabbit, hawks, owls, squirrels, not really any large natural predators around us...however.
There is a town less than 5 miles from our new home and less than a mile of where I grew up, that resides in Butler County, Ohio. In this town is a gentleman that raises Mountain Lions, Cougars, Panthers, etc... I know that during the time that I was in high school he lost over 8 of his 'pets', who never turned up. Except for the litter that was found by a hunter in the early 90's.
Also, less than a half of a mile from my parents house was a old campground where the caretaker raised wolves. Apparently several of them escaped, because a large female was hit on SR73 in the late 80's, early 90's.
And of course there was the more recent sightings of a brown bear loose in the Houston Woods area, just outside of Oxford, Ohio.
As for my mother, she never went into any details, but it sounds like a good question to ask her again... I'll see her this weekend, and let you know what she said.
Tia
There's obviously a good food supply for a sassy. You could try one of the bigfoot forums, I think it's bfro, they will have a long list of encounters from different areas you can look at.
