Now for the answer
The smooth sided pyramids were designed by the egyptians
They appeared there first and there is a clear pattern of experimentation on earlier egyptian pyramids
one even collapsed because they made the angle too steep
i bet pharoah was happy
All the other smooth sided pyramids in the region can be directly linked back to them
The first pyramid built in egypt in 2650 at saqquara is a step pyramid
smooth sides is an innovation that in egyptian legend at least came from the famous priest Imhotep
you alien fans will recognise him as the character played by arnold vosloo in the mummy movies
So i'm afraid it wasn't aliens
i guess at least half of you didn't bother to read the first post where i actually specified which pyramids
I expect that you're the same guys who haven't figured out how to set the timer on your video recorders yet because you haven't even glanced at the instructions
Essan got it right first
He wins
well done that man

I'm glad noone voted for Zahi Hawass. He didn't do it but he's certainly arrogant enough to claim it was his idea

The pyramids aren't that impeccable. Afetr thousands of years the damage done by time makes it impossible for us to see exactly how well made they were. so we don't know

Well, if the pyramids have remained this way over thousands of years, think how more impeccable they were then!? w00t.gif w00t.gif rofl.gif

They could easily be made by man today. We have cranes that can lift 2000 tonnes

a five man crew could easily move that with the right equipment

So what about five egyptians with only loincloths?
QUOTE(marduk @ May 31 2005, 04:35 AM)
The orion connection is one noticed by modern man with telescopes. The angle formed by the three pyramids at giza is not a perfect alignment of orion and the two air shafts don't point towards it

I wasn't referring to the airshafts. I was talking about the three pyramids in general.

People who make footballs now have modern day machines. They don't walk up to a cow and start cutting it with a knife.

I think you will find they did NOT OBVIOUSLY get help from anyone, as 99% of proffesors of Egyptology would agree.

You have no knowledge of the Egyptians compared to them, but you make some nice judgements anyway. Go and get a degree on it before you say someone helped them or aliens did it.

That's a snipet remark. The Egyptians did use pulleys and weights to counterbalance the ton weight stone blocks, and thousands of labours, but in the time alloted to make one pyramid -- 50 years? as dated in cravings on stone walls, they had to have assistance from anywhere else. Perhaps another race of humans?

Ego? hmm I never saw any of that in my text. How was I being egotistical saying that professors in Egyptology have far superior knowledge than you, and know that no one but the Egyptians, built the pyramids. Maybe you were thinking of a different word, but you may want to look up the definition here : http://dictionary.reference.com/

(By the way that is a clear case of childish mocking, not egotism, just incase you thought you were onto something there).

Did I say anything about E.T.'s? No. The AE's did have pulley's and levels, despite Hieroglythes have not shown such. Where is your evidence to state they did not? It has to stand to logic that pulleys and levels were the simplest way to build the pyramids, however there are theories that the AE's did not do it alone. No one really knows how AE's built the pyramids in a short time alloted, they are a mystery even by modern standards. You see so set in your way that you're not open-minded to other possibilities. I am not set in my ways enough not to know that pulleys are not represented in egyptian art nor have any pulleys ever been found in egypt.
add that to the fact that pulleys are not an essential part of stone masonry and you'll soon realise that there was never a need for them anyway
so why go on about something that wan't needed and which had no use
seems a little silly but a little obvious for us to even talk about

I am not set in my ways enough not to know that pulleys are not represented in egyptian art nor have any pulleys ever been found in egypt.
add that to the fact that pulleys are not an essential part of stone masonry and you'll soon realise that there was never a need for them anyway
so why go on about something that wan't needed and which had no use
seems a little silly but a little obvious for us to even talk about
by your very idea you show how ignorant you are

As it is true neither pulleys or levers were represented in Egyptian hieroglythics doesn't mean they weren't used. I'm not a stone mason, are you? Then tell me, your theory how the 10 ton stone blocks were moved into position? One theory is they used sand around the pyramid, I know that. Any other theories, Sherlock?

uh no i ascribe to orthodoxy at this point.
i think they moved stone blocks like they showed themselves doing in tomb paintings
kinda makes sense that they didn't draw in the mothership from alpha centauri in any of their art like the pulley's
you don'y have to be a stone mason to know that an argonon is a far better way of moving stone blocks than a pulley without an anchoring point.
like duh
