uhh I play... and the solution was to use my dad's comp when he's a sleep or not at home... he gets pissed! But yeah, I already have a guild, hardcorp gamers, we pvp alot, or are supposed to... so when do you think their coming out with a expansion? how much will it be?

My video card isn't the right one either, but I still play. It makes the movies choppy and densely populated outposts slow, but other than that it's not a problem.
I am a level 15 ranger/mesmer called 'count darkmore.'
I own a warthog who goes by 'Mr. Jingles'

ascended??? what tat? methinks it would be interesting if they integrated the voice thing into guild wars instead of the hassle of team speak... what if they hadd a command so that you stay in a certain position relative to someone... formations...

Ascended.
Just do all of the missions etc.
Then you will know.

Wasn't this game created by those four ex-Blizzard employees?

Jul 28 2005, 08:14 AM
News to me.
Diablo 3 would probably be better than Guild Wars though.
Too bad there won't be one.

Terrible game.
I beta tested it and there is so little content that you can max your character out within days.
No monthley fee? Well duh, this game has less content than any other MMORPG in existance, if you can call it one.

Now now zombie...no need to insult them...
I believe guild wars is well worth the asking price...if you do nothing but run around on your own, and don't have any friends, then yes...it can get tedious. However, once you form a playing group, and get yourself a little time to socialise, it gets a great deal more depth to it.

Jul 29 2005, 09:31 AM
One major problem I have found with it.
What do I do next?!
I seem to have completed it.

Jul 29 2005, 09:36 AM
Start a new character? PPV? Form a guild? Sit tight for the expansion packs?
Mr Ed
Jul 29 2005, 09:38 AM
I am going off it to be honest.
The gameplay is not as good as Diablo.
However, once you have played Guild Wars, Diablo becomes boring.
I am in a dilema.

I said Neverwinter Nights

Biowares masterpeice

It could be argued that it's a little dated now...graphics wise that is...but it's one of those games that will still be played for decades to come I feel. Mostly because the game comes with a toolset that allows you to create your own modules...there are literally thousands of gameworlds online, or to download, so there is no way you could ever exhaust the game's potential.

Jul 29 2005, 09:47 AM
Sounds cool.
Too cool if you ask me.
Seraphina
Jul 29 2005, 09:52 AM
"Too cool"?

Interesting...
It's based on the D&D engine...and, more importantly (and one of the real sticking points for me about guild wars was the fact it lacked this) the online community are mostly RPers. Obviously, you'll find servers that are ooc...but for the most part, people actually play out their character there.
I was really irritated by all the shouts, and abreviations going on in guild wars...it just irritated me that nobody was interested in RPing (in fact, I bet most of them didn't even bother reading the backstory).
Mr Ed
Jul 29 2005, 09:54 AM
Aha! I read the story that came with the game.
I thought it was pretty crappy though tbh.

lol...Guild wars is too new for my struggling computer.... So I havent tried it or played it, although I am interested in it.
I have played Neverwinter Nights and found that great fun, however those I played with seem to have disappeared.... lol

Well, Guild wars is fantastical to begin with, but there is no real MF feel to it.
If a group of your friends has it then it would be great though.

they want to make it so u cant just master the game cause then u can make fun of people who die and stuff soo in like diablo u almost never dy if u a level 100 but if ur like level 20 there is a possible chance of dieing also it makes the game more interesting and u wont get bored of it too quickly

Agreed Zombie. It makes it more interesting the fact that you can die by the hand of level 11's when you are the max level (20) which happened to me and my level 20 friend the other day acctually.. Stupid Bog Skales... Ah yes this is a very fun fun game... To be enjoyed by most says I.
Edit: Oh right I go by the name Mr.Mckillyou which I am using until i get my own account.... Mah doggies name is Steve Mcgeve.

If it wasn't for me being in Iraq I'd still be playing GW right now. If anyone happens to have heard of a Guild called Testing Eternity, that's my crew. I usually would end up playing as Anya Locke, but when I would PvP I usually went by Amber Reign or Old Man Winters. Most all of my other characters have the last name Locke though.
Nemesis...your name does sound kind of familiar to me though...
