Where there any Mammoths or Irish Elk on the ark?

Why'd he save the Scottish midge?

Couldn't he have inventoried all the million sof beetles he collected from Amazonia? Would have saved us a lot of work!

How did the arctic and tropical wildlife get by living in the same environment? (or did Noah quickly invent refrigeration and central heating for them?)

How did corals and seaweeds survive being buried under 30,000ft of water?

And most importantly of all - assuming Noah also collected seeds of every living plant, since that was the only way they could survive, why or why did he then go and plant the Wollemi Pine in some obscure Australian valley where it wouldn't be rediscovered until 1994?

The Irish Red Elk. Its a shame they were hunted to extinction.

I think the original bible is a load of bibull as someone onece said.
personally i've moved on and am now using the electronic bible for future references to prove my point
for does it not say in the electronic bible that the iron shall lie down with the lamp.
and don't say that silicon heaven doesn't exist
where do all the calculators go huh

where do all the calculators go

There is also a size limit for a non-metal buttressed wooden vessel and the Ark's dimensiosn exceed them by over 200 feet! Bronze can't be used as a buttress metal, it's too mallable and Noah lived before the iron age! blink.gif - Mako

They go to a tip. They are an object not a livng being. Even plants have souls, but not your dear calculator.

As for there not being enough water HELLO 3/4 of the entire EARTH is WATER, how many times do I have to say it. It did NOT just come from rain, it came from the OCEAN through tsunamis WITH RAIN. Or, is that too hard to grasp?

Now, as for mammoths et al, did they, or did they not exist in an ICE AGE. An Ice Age described in the texts? If you can believe a man came from an ape I'm sure it won't stretch your imagination too much to realize that CLIMATIC changes may have caused a normal elephant to grow fur and become significantly larger.

On top of al that, many of the animals we have today are the result of interbreeding, either within different breeds of it's own species, or with another species entirely. In happens quite naturally, recently in fact, a horse bred with a Zebra, a donkey has bred with a horse creating a mule, a dolphin bred with a whale, etc, etc etc.
JMPD1
That is quite fanciful biology you spout there Ashley.

I suppose, by your logic, Noah simply had to bring two domestic house cars aboard and simply "bred them up" to create lions tigers, leopards, etc.

dolphins DO NOT mate with whales.
Roosters do NOT mate with swans.
And, although they CAN mate, chihuahuas should NEVER be mated to great danes. Its just too silly to watch......

if i have a glass of water that is 3/4 full, no matter how much i swish it around it will never be 100% full.

there is not enough water on the earth to flood it fully for the time you want it to be flooded at the speed you want it to be flooded.

as for evo.... we do not decend from apes, man and apes have a common ancestor! your (mis)take on evo is truly wacko!

tell a tale as if it is real long enough and people will start to believe it real.... it works with mythology and it would work with seuss if we decided to program even more babbling ignorance into our children!

what is the big stretch to a talking cat? we can see how people can be programmed all around us! how many believe in a talking snake?

Nice theory Ashley, just one minor flaw – tsunamis have to drain back into the ocean, usually within minutes or hours and the deluge lasted over 100 days. Another small problem, a tsunami or series of tsunamis big enough to cover the land surface of the earth would have to tower several miles high in order to reach the interior of the continents. This means that the cresting waves would have more that sufficient power to grind the ark and Noah, family and animals to the smallest of particles! Somehow I get the feeling that your scenario wouldn’t quite work!

Actually, the Mammoth shared ancestry with the African Elephants and the Asian Elephant is descended from the Mammoth, so it was a climatic change that cased a normal Mammoth to lose most of it’s hair and half of it’s size….How many times much I tell you; research before you speak!

Ashley, zebra/horse, donkey/zebra and donkey/horse interbreeding results in a infertile hybrid animal and is a dead end. Whales and dolphins are not intra-species fertile (in other words, no baby “whalphins” or “dolhales”) as is the case with many many of the various species of animals – study genetics before you throw out the off-the-wall “theories”! tongue.gif Beowulf

No ones mentioned what happened in the Garden of Dixons either when the hoover persuaded the woman to seek the sanctity of the hall cupboard
So the CORD God said to the hoover, "Because you have done this,
"Cursed are you above all the electrical goods
and all the housewares!
You will wheel along on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.

15 And I will put a handle
between you and the woman,
and between your wheels and her legs;
he will stamp on your handle release
and you will strike his heel."

A lesson to be learned from the electronic bible is essential if you don't want to end up with the electric razors.

Here are some figures on the “great flood” – If, as Genesis says, all humanity with the exception of Noah and family were wiped out by the flood; then these 8 people would be the ancestors of all humans living at the present moment. The standard “Creationist” date for the flood is 4360 YBP, presently there are approximately 6,525,900,000 people on this earth. So if we use a simple formula using today’s population, the starting population and starting date, we get an annual growth rate of about 0.0047. If what Genesis says is the truth, then…

At Christ's death there were only about half a million people in the whole world!

At the time the Israelites entered Canaan, (about 1180 BCE) we get a world population of 2024! By the time you divide that up between Egypt, Canaan, the rest of the world, and Israel, that leaves maybe 6 or 7 people for the Israelite army!

If we go back to the time that the Jews were expelled from Egypt, in 1560 BCE, we get a world population of only 340 people!

In 2300 BCE there were only about 10 people on Earth! How did fewer than a dozen people build the pyramids?

During this time there existed several very literate civilizations, the most famous of which is Egypt where Teti sat on the Pharonic throne and China, where the Xia dynasty was newly born. Neither of these cultures seemed to realize that they had spent nearly a year under water and the flow of their official correspondence continued uninterrupted by a situation that at best would only make their ink run and at worse would have been fatal! yes.gif - Mako
