i don't understand why it's a big deal if someone wants to start a group or not.
of course, i've not been on um long and i wasn't around to see all the goings on with uppity and the like but if someone feels 'left out' and wants to start a group or a recognition thread then what is the big deal?

some ppl are just smarter than others and that is the way life is. as long as they are trying with their spelling and grammar and they aren't saying things that are offensive they should be given respect. some ppl are really smart but they are very cruel. i personally would rather speak to a considerate person than a cruel person no matter what their iq.

that's just what i think anyway.

i don't feel like i've really been around long enough to belong to any group, being on the board is enough for me. i guess though, some ppl may feel different so why not let them form in peace?

again though i could be talking out the wrong end because i wasn't around during the uppity-ness and maybe there was some weird loss of control due to group formations that i know nothing about and shouldn't be commenting on.

but everything deserves a chance and if it wasn't meant to be it will self-destruct. yes.gif

Don't take my meaning the wrong way ethyl (may I call you ethyl? ), if folks want to start a group, because they have similiar interests, fine by me. In fact, this is the first forum I've been on that actually had formal "groups", and I was rather surprised that this board was so polarized.

I just think that it is silly to form a group based on the fact that "we are not the popular guys". But, to each his/her/its own. Good luck with it, and I sincerely hope it brings you the 'recognition' you think it will.

yes you may call me ethyl. original.gif

no need to wish me luck though. it has nothing to do with me apart from me suggesting a name. i just was reading the posts and couldn't understand where all the hostility was coming from. to each his own, i think. original.gif

i wish them the best of luck as well! thumbsup.gif

This is great... the ones that actually back this and started it off are the ones sat back watching how serious the rest are taking it... perhaps we should start our own group?

Don't look for a conspiracy here and you won't find one.. ph34r.gif And just to make this absolutely clear, neither I nor The Steel Circle is in any way affiliated with the Illuminati or the Freemasons, so just get that thought right out of your head.. tongue.gif

What about the stone cutters? It seems the degrees seem awfully close to the number system seen in a special town by shelbyville.
