For me it would be someone pouring gallons of acid on my body until I finally disolve and my flesh burns off until you can see my bones.....

mine would be wut u said from a sickness or falling from like a plan or a skyscraper cuz u no ur gonna hit the ground and die but u hafta wait for it
Being on a plane, MILES up in the sky above the clouds, and then suddenly having the window broken and getting sucked out.
It'll take a good few minutes to hit the ground, giving you a good long time to think about it. Is it going to hurt? Will you feel it? You can see the ground slowly rushing up to hit you as you gain speed, falling faster and faster. You can think about all the things you're gonna leave behind, you can think about what your body is going to look like when it splats into the ground, etc etc.
Scary. I'd much rather die immediately, no matter how painful.

I've heard that you would die from shock while falling down rather than hitting the ground. Either way, it's not how I want to die.
I think the worst way to die would be eaten by a pack of wild animals, or being restrained from fresh oxygen. If I were an cosmonaught, I would have to say have the rope between the shuttle and my body being broken and having no chance of getting back to the shuttle.

The acid thing is pretty bad! Burning to death would be awful, and so would drowning. Or having your limbs cut off one by one. ouch.
Drowning is one of my worst fears too.....and suffocating.
Stabbed in the back by the one you trust and living just long enough to see everyone you know turn their back to you.

I wouldn't fear getting sucked out of a plane, because most likely the pressure of being pulled through a broken window would kill me in the first place. But I'd beat hell out of that new Jenny Craig weight loss time table!
If the suction didn't kill me then I'd probably suffocate because of oxygen dep. @ high altitude or I'd be crushed by that factor. If not then what a ride! And I think that right before I'd hit I'd leave my body anyway. Something about the soul or what ever it is animating me, not wanting to experience pancaking as a last impression of this life.

Compound that with having a close encounter with the zombie dust they featured in the movie classic, "Serpent and the Rainbow", and I'd be alive, paralyzed, and buried. God's what an experience! Witnessing your own funeral and then, per my last will and testament.... cremation!!!

I think being decapitated or having your throught slit would be the worst 2 possible scenerios.

Ya this would be bad, but i think it would be worse if u hit water instead of ground, because then u think u have a shallow chance, if u did like the ultimate belly smacker, it would probally peel ur skin off backwards

you may not die form this but i here they used to do this in medeval times, anyway if a traitor was caught or soemone did a real bad crime agains t the king....or merely said something the king didnt like...what they would do is get a a red hot poker and jam it up the person insides. this way when the autopsy was done to see how the person died..the examiner really wouldnt look in that area, so he would rule it a "heart attack or bad humours", this way there was not correlation that the king was ever involved

Drowning, burning, being eaten by animals, being buried alive... these are all pretty much on my list of things not to do.
Being trapped somewhere alone and dehydrating/starving to death -- like Aron Ralston - the guy who eventually cut off his own arm that was trapped beneath the boulder. Knowing you are going to die for days and not being able to do anything about it -- although he eventually did.

I mean having some one on both sides one saying good bye and the other saying welcome home.
I have had the privilege to say good bye to both my parents and some close friends and know that they needed me there at their deparcher from this world. And I have seen in their faces the "hello,and welcome home".
