Okay, I've searched until I'm about to have a hissy fit. One of you wonderful, intelligent members may know what I'm looking for.

I saw a deadbolt lock on HGTV that had a key lock both inside and out but the inside key, when it was in the lock, looked like a regular knob that's usually not removable. The show only briefed on it, nothing was on the website, and I got no responce when I asked them for info.

When I have guests I have to have a knob on the inside so they can get out in case of an emergency according to fire codes. But, when there is no one staying there I'd prefer that nobody be able to break a window, reach in and unlock the door.

Does anybody have any ideas, I'm getting tired of people in hardware stores looking at me like huh.gif

hey try this site:

even if they don't have a pic of what you're looking for they may know what you're talking about.

good luck! thumbsup.gif

This LINK is to HGTV and their feature on "Deadbolt Locks".

Perhaps the lock your thinking of was manufacturered by Weiser Lock company *LINK*. They have a customer service contact link on their site where you could perhaps describe the lock your looking for and see if they have it.

Good luck. thumbsup.gif
