I really like this band a lot. Anybody else like them?
My favorite song by them so far is "Bring me to life", but others come in close. Which such masterpieces as "hello", it's rather hard to choose.
Here is their website if you've never heard of them. Talk away, everyone.

What are you guys's favorite song by them, and what makes you like them?

They have been one of my favorite bands for quite some time. Mainly because of their vocals. And Amy Lee is the only celeb I've had a crush on.

Yes she's very good. Even though they have sort of a christian tint, I still like them because of their themes. I'm suprised not many people even looked here.

I'm not sure what they want to be...a pagan, goth or christian band. I think they're trying to appeal to a wider audience.
Meh. They're good, but have fallen into obscurity since whatshisface left. He and Amy Lee are what made Evanescence special. The piano/vocal combo.

I enjoy them every now and then. I have all their CDs so... I would say I am a fan.
Here is a a very nice biography that Janiel did on another forum. I love them!

I really like them but, didn't they break up?

I don't think so...has anyone else heard of this?

They haven't broken up, nope. That dude guy, erm, Ben Moody left the band. He didn't like fame or something. =\
There's another album in the works, though. Can't wait!

I;m not nearly as big a fan as Janiel, but they are pretty cool. She's got a great voice!

Yes her voice is amazing. She's what attracted me to the band.

They're a pretty good band, but they're no Lacuna Coil.

Actually, according to the people comming on to the Seether Forums to complain about Ben Moody's departure, are claiming that is was becasue Shaun and Amy started dating and it was all Shauns fault...
just what I've heard

Well, I don't watch TV, so I don't really know much news about any bands. Regardless, that's a silly reason to leave a band.

Agreed
Whats Ben Moody doing now anyway? I heard he was working with Avril Lavene or someone like that...

I'm not number 1 fan of the band, but they're pretty good. My fav songs are Bring Me to Life, Tourniquet and Whisper. Can't wait for their new album!

I did a little research into the whole Moody/Shawn incident a few months ago and this is what I pieced together:
Amy started seeing Shawn who didn't get along with Moody. This was mainly because of the pre-existing relationship between Moody and Amy (which was purely sexual, apparently).
The relationship between Amy and Shawn blossomed and in 2003 Evanescence went on tour through Europe. During this time Moody and Amy got into an argument and he literally packed up and left.

BTW I like Evanescence pretty much mostly because Amy's vocals but I don't liesten to it anymore.. kinda got bored of it, the cd kinda sounds the same all over, I mean the rock songs are VERY similar, and I don't know but something tells me the next album won't be as good as the others, I think Ev worked better with Ben Moody which was much better guitar player than those two other guys, just hope the guy from Seether don't give any help for the next album either or it will probably suck

Several posts have been removed from this topic for having offensive remarks and obscene language.
Any more of that in this topic, and the perp will find themselves on vacation from UM. It is highly uncalled for.

Aww, but did you have to remove my fiendishly clever remark about my manliness? *pouts*
Btw, isn't their latest album only going to be a "best of"? Korn and Blink 182 just did a "best of", look where they are now.

I don't think so, I thought they were making a new CD. Isn't that the reason they put out the live concert CD, to buy more time to make it?

evanescene= awesome! favorite songs= my immortal(track 12 on the first CD, with that tight guitar solo near the end), haunted, and imaginary. first time i heard it had me in tears!

the other two songs are the ones i use to get pumped up for football; if i listen to them, i can obliterate the other team's linemen!

Don't get caught with the Evanescence CD.
It might count as steroids.
