Full Version: Orion - The Throne of God

Now, for those that don't know here is some background information for you.

1. The firmanent of Heaven comprised of the 8th and 9th Heaven (8th being the Zodiacs and 9th being the houses of the Zodiacs) is the Zodiacal belt.

2. Pre-Dynasty Egptians influenced by the fallen angels of Enoch said that the Throne of God was Orion.

3. Within Orion, is the only known star nursery

4. Stars are the thrones of and described to be, angels

5. Orion at one time was depicted as a triple entity (like the Trinity)

6. The Milkyway Galaxy is within the Virgo Supercluster (the first Heaven is our Solar System), the Zodiacal constellations (and Orion) are well beyond the Milkyway galaxy

7. The Arm of Orion is near our Milkyway galaxy, and the Arm of Saggittarius is the centre of it. As our solar systerm orbits around the Sun, the Sun itself orbits around the centre of the Milky way galaxy.

8. It has been scriptually written (in Exodus even) that God eats and breathes fire, His face emitting sparks like metalworks, which shines with a blinding light, and that His throne was not made with hands (human or otherwise), that it was enormous, resembled a sapphire (Neptune and Uranus were also desribed 'like sapphires) and turns in several different directions all at once. It's also said that this fire that God breathes created the angels (they too are made of, and bathe in fire). Like I said above, Orion is the ONLY known star nursey. Go read a Bible and it says angel=STAR.

Orion lies near Gemini and Taurus, never rising at the same time as Scorpio. I've already gone through the Scorpio satan link before.

Is Orion the Throne of God? In my opinion...YES.

So, next time you ask where God is, or how God can be watching the Earth, look up, see the huge and most recognizable constellation in the sky - one man will NEVER reach alive - and ask yourself how big you are in the scheme of things. He's up there, looking down from His throne, He can see you, you can't reach Him, not in this lifetime. Just look up in amazement. Every scientist unknowngly does already.

So...Orion is the Throne of God because ancient stories say so?

Okay.

Now we know.

Incidentally, Orion isn't even a star nursery. There is an Orion nebula, which is currently raising ten stars, but that is about 1500 light years below the Orion Costellation. About 1600 light years to the other side is one of the more famous star nurseries, the Hubble X, the first one astronomy students are usually asked to find. Closer to home are the DR 6 nebula and the Ry Tau star nurseries.

I guess it's true that God is in a lot of places at once. Good job on the research, by the way. It meets all the standards we have come to expect from you.

Er, of course it would be backed up by ancient texts, that's the whole damn point when it comes to religion. The fact that there IS a star nursery IN Orion (the Orion Nebula) is relevant. I've personally never heard of any other star nurseries, so excuse meeeee. Orion's nursery is the one getting all the press of late.

Pre-dynsaty Egyptians weren't even Judeo-Christian by definition, and yet they called it 'The Throne of God. Many of their other 'gods' were angels.

Perhaps religion is a myth commonly agreed on. We often times miss label things we cannot understand.
Ashley-Star*Child
I don't believe in myths, I believe in God - albeit, somewhat differently to traditional Judeo-Christian trains of thought, and it does seem awfully funny how many similarities many cultures have to what is known in Biblical accounts by cultures that never even met.

Even the Greeks talk about a flood wiping everyone out, sent down by an angry 'god'.

You were not talking about the Orion Nebula. You were talking about the Orion Constellation. I would venture that you never even heard of the Orion Nebula prior to my mentioning it. The fact that you don't bother to look beyond the first five letters of the name when talking about heavenly bodies is pretty relevant too.

The stars that comprise the constellation of Orion - as indeed all constellations - are all within the Milky Way Galaxy. And, indeed, all in the same part of the galaxy as us.

The only naked eye objects outside of our galaxy are the Andromeda Galaxy and the Greater and Lesser Magellan Clouds.

Then, who or what is this God wich you speak of ? Is he like the God in the bible ?
Please tell me about him/her.
Ashley-Star*Child
Aquatus, I KNOW about the Orion Nebula, and the Horsehead Nebula (they were my Desktop wallpapers for a while), don't tell me. I was talking about the constellation as a WHOLE, and within it that that Nebula with a star nursery.

The only and only GreyChupa, Yahweh. When the Hebrews looked up at the Heavens, or 'space', they always associated it with where the Throne of God was. Christians believe it's some big white fluffy cloud.

Like I said: The Orion Nebula is 1500 light-years from the nearest star of the Orion Constellation. It is, in no way, shape, or form, within, or even close to, the constellation (even if you are just thinking about them two-dimensionally, let alone their actual locations).

Keep trying, though. thumbsup.gif

Hmm, ok, why did Kismet just edit your post?

And uh, WTF are you talking about? The Orion Nebula (M42) is next to M43 in the Orion BOUNDARY therefore PART OF the constellation of ORION. Nice try though. Oh, and M42, like M43 is in the inner part of Orion, not on the egde of it, in case you didn't know.
