Well, not really. It takes one year to do everything and get everything, since there is christmas and halloween etc to collect things, and different bugs/fish appear at different times in the year. But if you do play daily for 30 mins for a year, everything can be done.

However, if anyone did play it daily for a year, they're risking never getting laid ever.

Must of heard wrong anyway, i played it on and off for a couple of months.

Im getting conflicting stories about the launch titles, I was told by my friend that the games are not free, he said he read in a japanese mag that you still got to pay for them, He did not give me the name of the mag like I could of read it anyway. He is not the only one that said the same thing to me, but also some of my other friends did say the games are free. I tried searching the net and got this looks like its a bust the games are not free, if its a reliable source.

Nintendo chief Satoru Iwata has squashed the rumour that the Revolution will feature 221 free downloadable games from Nintendo's back-catalogue. In an interview on Famitsu.com, he said the retro Nintendo games will not be available as free downloads, though the company may offer some games as a bonus for purchasing titles for the Revolution. He also went on to say that demos will be offered as free downloads on the Revolution.

link got a link to the story they said it came from source

I tried translating the japanese site by using systranbox instead of babblefish, it worked but I could not understand it well enough, it did say games were not going to be free, but I don't know if they were talking about the DS, Micro, or Revolution. Try it out if you want.
BurnSide
Interesting. So you'll have to PAY for the games?

I actually did hear something along those lines, alot of games will be given away free with other Revolution games. For example, if you buy the Revolution Zelda game, then you'll also get a download code to be able to download for free all the previous zelda games. Make sense?

It's certainly a downer that these will not be free. sad.gif
Super Pancake
I was a bit suspicious anyway there were third party games on that list nintendo does not own, but yeah it sucks there not free, but hey knowing the power of the internet, I bet you will see copies of revolution compatible games on bit torrent to download free anyway.
Talon
You know, if these rumours were so we'll spread you'd have thought Nintendo might actually go allow with the idea as if may have got more buys. People may be turned off if that catalogue costs them an extra £5 per title.

In the end as long as people buy the console, they'll buy the new games, and thats were the money really is.

Typical capitalists, can only see so far as their pockets.
nick_fury
I knew they wouldn't be giving away the zeldas for free, nintendo are too tight for that trhey don't give anything away. Wel screw it then forget the revolution im gonna buy a proper console that doesnt rely on such a poor gimic
Blazex
BurnSide i have played all mario and doom games. And also you want to pay 60 bucks? Well nintendo just annonced that they would charge for the games you download. You wish has come true now go wild buying those games.

Well the did give Ocarina away from free on GC, with Master Quest which was previously unreleased. Not to mention the ton of free NES games in Animal Crossing.
Agreed though, this will put alot of people off. Shame, giving them away from free would probably in the long run get them more money. rolleyes.gif Dumbass corporate types.

My god.... Those are possibly the 2 greatest Mario games ever. THAT IS COMPLETELY AWESOME!!!
The Roswell Man
going by nintendos they only give freebies away unless u buy a game
so assume same rules applies....

excite bike people! excite bike!
MonkeyMan
So they'll charge you for Zoda's Revenge? no.gif
Talon
I wonder if they'd consider translating Japan's massive collection into English. We only get a small percentage of what they get afterall.

Oh, and I wonder if all of America's title will be avaiable in the Celtic Countries. We never got a lot of stuff over here.
The Roswell Man
if they're any good that is..... tongue.gif
AztecInca
Good point Talon, we barely get any of those games and I`ve read so many damn magazines telling us how good they are but then telling us we will never get them, hopefully with the revoluton we will finally get our hands on them.
MonkeyMan
Nintendo, with their greed, might ruin this great idea.
AztecInca
^With their greed!??!!? What are you talking about?
Do you think they may end up charging us for these games if the revolution doesn`t sell enough?
MonkeyMan
With charging yes.
AztecInca
Well if there not selling enough copies of the revolution and its games then you cant really blame them for charging you for these downloadable games eventually. If they promise to never charge you for them, then thwy have no right to do so later on, but I doubt they would anyway, they know people will just stop downloading them and their console aspiartions may finally die.

As a player of Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64. I am wondering what the controls will be like. When I play Nintendo I like to have the simple box controller with D-pad, Start, Select, A, B. None of the complex crap. I love all those old games. It's a great idea, but it is a sign of Nintendo's loss in the market. They are trying to recapture all the old (I'm 19, in video game years thats old) players. What can I say? I will probably buy one.
Talon
19 isn't that old tongue.gif Most of the hardcore gamers I know are in their 30s
The Roswell Man
i think the top gamers in the world are at oldest, in their 20s
Byuu94
Firstly N didn't say they would charge for all games, because some of those older games I don't think anyone would pay anything for. Also just because they will charge doesn't mean you'll have to pay 30 bucks for Goldeneye. At most they will probably charge only a couple of bucks.

Note (Several of those games were never released in america, or anywhere. BS Zelda and BS F-Zero: Grand Prix were made for the SNES CD that never made production, and were basically updates to those games. Other games like Fire Emblem only came out in japan on the SNES. It would be really great if Star Ocean and Bahamut Lagoon were finally released in the US.)
AztecInca
I agree Byuu, even if we do end up being charged for some games, the price wont be steep and it will be well worth it in my opinion.
