I came across this pic on a non paranormal website, and have searched many El Chupacabra pages looking for it's origin. Does anyone have any information on the picture? It sure looks convincing. I'm surprised it hasn't gained more notoriety. I can't get the pic to post for some reason. It keeps saying there is an error. It shows a hispanic guy holding up the head of a creature which appears to be a chupacabra. A boy, just off camera, is poking the head with a long stick.

Hey, how about providing a link, so we can actually see the picture? I would love to look at it.

whoah whoah whoah

I know the picture. We've already been there and done that!

Here ya go

In a nutshell, it's not real. It is the work of a professional photographer. He recently had a few pieces exhibited in my hometown in Cincinnati, Ohio at the Contemporary Art Center.

Thanks Dust, mighty informative of you! wavey.gif

I remember it now, and it really does look real. If you look close at the boys' hand that is holding the stick, it looks like trace amounts of blood, so if he intentionally threw that in there, it was a good touch!

Also, underneath the pic, it says who posted it, and the person is PACO THE TACO, and that is just cracking me up!!!!! Funny as hell..........

here's a little gripe I have, no offense to anyone though, but I think avid users of these boards will agree.

How come whenever someobody has a photo of any 4 legged land animal that's a little monstrous looking, it automatically has to be a photo of El Chupacabra? According to all the photos and drawing i've seen, this thing has about 50 different looks. Some doglike, some'Grey'like, some reptilian, some like monkeys......

I always though mythical creatures had to have at least one halfway stable description?

I don't know why that happens a lot. I think it is often way more geographical than anything, like for instance, if there was a sighting near New Jersey, it would be considered the Jersey Devil, no matter what the appearance. If it is near Mexico, the El Chupacabra. If it is in the mountains of Washington state, then lo and behold, it would be Bigfoot. So, I think it is geographical as to what any strange creature would be called.
