I have a claude monet painting by reofect. i am unable to find any info about the company. It is a oil painting, but I know almost nothing about monet or if someone else painted the beach painting using his name for the company reofect. the paper on the back that came with it said it was reconditioned and not a reproduction. does anyone have any info on how i can find out about this painting? thanks

There may not be any back-story information if the painting itself isn't too famous. Your best bet would be to take it to an art gallery and hope someone that works there is knowledgeable.

Take it to an art gallery. If it is a Monet, you just may be my new best friend.

I have contacted the closest museum, they just say check the library. tried that too. I live in an area where there are not a lot of ppl. that are knowledgable about art from the 1890-early 1900's. but thanks for the reply.

"Reofect" is a modern company that created "reconstructions," or
reproductions. Unfortunately, such reproductions are not of great
value. "
I got that off of some art gallery website which I promptly lost when my browser died.
