Actually, looking at it again and being a bit more serious, it looks like its a reflection off of a coach (bus) window or something.
The right hand side of the photo is lighter and seems to have some vertical lines in it as if there is other stuff reflected.

Close, close, but no banana. I never thought of the reflections, tho.
There is a road that goes round the pyramids. The photo was probably taken from a bus as it went to or from the lookout point that the road leads to. The 'UFO', as mentioned before, is probably a reflection on the bus window.
Well.. from my perspective - I see a tiny red luminous UFO centred in this white flag shape... which suggests that someone really stuupid tried to blend the tiny UFO pic within the sky above the Pyramids.. the white background around the UFO blatently looks alien to the Egyptian sky..check my edited version out ..
I'm 99% certain it's just a reflection on a window (probably a bus window). I've been on the road that goes round the pyramids and I've got photos myself with reflections on them.
Maybe the aliens saw Pirates of the Caribean and thought they'd get more respect if they flew a Jolly Roger. ARRGH!!
It looks like a Japanese flag with the red spotch on the white field.
Okay, confession time. I took a picture of a tape dispenser I took at work, flipped it over, shrunk it down and put a glow effect on it, and pasted it onto a pic I found of the Great Pyramids. Then, I put a blur on it so it looked like it was moving. And viola! My very own UFO hoax. One of you guessed photoshop, you get a cracker.

I've heard it used in several US cop shows by an English actor but I KNOW the TV bosses dont know what it means or they wouldn't let it be aired.

But why make it look like that, you could have made it look like a UFO not a bit of paper, would have been more believable!

the object doesn't look like it's above the pyramids at all...
