Howdy all,

I guess this thread is primarily for the Australian contingent here at UM. But if there are others who happen to see the series, feel free to interject.

What can I say about State of Origin? It's amazing. Mate against mate! 74 matches, over 25 years. Of those 74 matches, New South Wales have won 37, Queensland have won 37. Again, in these 74 matches, NSW has scored a total of 1173 points. Queensland have scored a total of 1164 points. I mean, 9 points difference in 25 years of State of Origin. Wow!

I'm personally a Queensland supporter through and through, but I have to marvel at the skills of Andrew Johns (NSW half-back). He's only played nine games in the past two years through injury, but he steps into the most intense Rugby League match of the year and totally dominates. How good is he?

That aside, can't wait for game three in 3 weeks up in Queensland. It should be an awesome game. I'm tipping Queensland, although if ANdrew Johns plays as well as he did in the last match, it could be all over before it begins.

Feel free to add your comments,

Regards,

True. Kiwi=queenslander. They want to allow New Zealanders (at least those eligible for NZ) to play State of Origin, providing they started their football career in Australia. It'd be good for the international game i think.

btw, before the last match the difference was only 1 point. It just happened that NSW won by 10.
