Does anyone have any information on this event? I live very near this area and have experienced something strange myself. I'm a football coach and while driving home from a game this past fall, I had something very strange fly over my truck. It looked like a giant owl. Now I'm aslo an avid hunter and this thing was not an owl it was about 5ft. tall with a giant head and eyes. I'm not usually prone to this type of thing but it's been bugging me since it happened. Any help identifying it would be great. Also, any info on the Kecksburg UFO and how these two may be related, or not related would be appreciated.

From 1960, until 1972, satellite DOD missions were done this way-

CORONA 1

CORONA 2

CORONA 3

CORONA 4

With the revolution in miniturization of its components, it became a standalone satellite, deployed from a rocket.

As far as what you saw, I do not know. I was out cooning last night (no gun), and I tell you, they are like shadows. I have never seen anything supernatural, though.
UFOs, if seen, are not supernatural, in my book. Some speculate otherwise.

I guess I'm with leadbelly. Aliens wouldn't be supernatural, would they? UFOs would exist on our own plane, while ghosts, spirits, and the like seem to exist in a parallel dimension that sometimes meshes with ours.

Wait...what was I saying?
I think I confused myself.

Canadian Great Horned Owl?

I don't really think it was an owl. Maybe. I not ready to call it anything supernatural, but who knows. I try to keep an open mind. About the Kecksburg UFO. I saw a special on the History channel that said it may have been Kosmos 96 (Russian satellite) that fell from orbit earlier that day. According to Stan Gordon a local UFO expert who produced his own video of the event, that theory doesn't hold water due to the trajectory of the satellite. Interesting though to say the least. Our area is very rural and was an unusual event that we don't see very often.
