Full Version: What was that?

Okay. Now here's the thing. I saw 2 peculiar things in my bedroom last night. Normally, I wouldn't post about it/them but what I saw yesterday was rather unusuall and unexplainable.

I never had hallucinations of the sort in my entire life not even on drugs so I don't think they were.

I was in my bed reading The Lord Of The Ring: The Return Of The King as I usually do before sleep and it was pretty late (early actually) 1:30AM-2:00AM. As I was reading the left page, firsts lines I noticed a weird thing deeper in my room toward the wall but only a couple of inches away (in my field of vision) from the pages of the book (not even just out of the corner of my eyes). It looked like a fireball. Not a round one but as if something had burned in the air for a second. Sort of like a morphing fire ball. It appeared and disseapeared in a second.

I got shocked but not really scared. I looked around to see what it could have been but couldn't make it out. My room is in the basement so it couldn't have been outside lights (it was at night anyways) nor my room light. So I thought I must be crazy and continued reading. Now, a couple of minutes after, I began get really tired and dozed off a little. Then, some instants later I kinda woked-up (wasent really sleeping, just dozing) and I saw a 'swirl of smoke/mist' right in front of me. It dissepeared as soon as I looked at it. It was like a vertical 2 ft. long smoke/mist line.

I thought it was weird but went to sleep as I was too tired to be bothered by it.

Sorry if it's lame but I never saw anything like that. I know what kind of thing I see out of the corner of my eyes when I'm tired (even though it rarely happens) but it's not like this. Also, those things I saw weren't out of the corner of my eyes but right in my field of vision. I am 70% sure they weren't hallucinations but 100% sure I don't know what it was. Both things within 5 minutes. Never saw anything else like this before or after.

My sister who lives in the same house already saw weird things as well and I even know a girl who didn't want to go in my basement because she said it was creepy and scary (although it's a finished basement, with TVs, our sound system as well as our computers, you know the ordinary stuff).

What's going on? Am I seeing stuff? It never happened before.

First I don't have a video cam (just a digital photo cam), second, I doubt I would get anything as I never ever saw anything like this in all the years I've been sleeping there.

But I agree though that cams may be able to see what the human eye cannot. But I don't have one unfortunatly.

Anyone have an opinion?

I reckon the lights must have been really strong for your eye, and it might have cast some illusions. Or maybe i'm wrong and it was some sort of....orb?
I'm not really sure what this could be, i've never really heard of it......hmm....have you done some research on it?

Does your house have a paranormal history? You could ask the last person who lived there about it.

I had the same thing happened to me last night, except I saw a woman in a white silhouette dress standing far outside of my house at 4AM…I think it was my grandmother…

What lights are you talking about? It couldn't have been an outside light nor even my own table light. I was reading with a dimmed light and

Sometimes I'll just notice some movement out of the corner of my eyes sort of like if someone walked by but there's nobody.

I may be crazy. I hope not. Well, actually what is worst, a haunting of simply immagining stuff? Arrrrgghhhhhh!

I don't know who had the house before and I don't really have time to find/contact them for now but I'll investigate.

I'll get back to you later I hope with new stuff.

I heard nothing. It was complete silence as it was about 3:00AM.

Ectoplasmic residutes? So both things (morphing ball and swirl of mist) could be leftover residutes? That does not suggest a haunting then. And to be honnest I am glad.

I've seen weird things here out of the corner of my eyes mostly movement so I hope they are just figment of my immagination or at worst some leftover imprints or residutes.

Thanks for the input guys.

If you both can't explain what it was how can you be sure it was just a mystical illusion?

And how could some mystical illusion happen like this in my room? And what is a mystical illusion anyways? Reflection? Hallucination? Sex deprivation?

I don't get it.

I never saw anything like this ever before and after that night. Also, I experience those things (other weird things) usually at night especially towards 2:00-3:00AM. Maby I'm just too tired by then and immaginate things. But again, I've been much more tired countless of times even at night and never hallucinated or immagined things for the matter, even on psychedelics (don't get me wrong, I've stopped using them long ago so it can't be that).
