Born from an egg on a mountain top,
Monkey is funky and never stops,
He knew every magic trick under the sun,
And teased the gods and everyone and had some fun.
I love that show.

Tripitaka was a woman playing a man, as her name is Masako Natsume.
Tripitaka is actually a Mahayana Buddhist (Greater Vehicle) which teaches love and compassion - Tripitaka always wants to help people and forces Monkey to help. The Mahayana tradition was founded by Je Tsongkhapa who was an emanation of Manjushri (The Wisdom Buddha). This Tradition teaches that everyone has a Buddhaseed and can become a Buddha.
Tripitaka means 'Three Baskets' in Sanskrit:
Vinaya Pitaka (Basket of Discipline)
Sutra Pitaka (Basket of Discourses or Teachings)
Abhidharma Pitaka (Basket of Ultimate Doctrine)
Mantra means 'Mind Protection' - Tripitaka's ultimate goal is of course Enlightenment or Buddhahood. Which means escaping Samsara and suffering (being reborn). In Samsara you can be reborn in one of the six realms see The Wheel of Life. Also in some episodes you can see a Mala (beads tied together on string) which you can count Mantras on hanging around Tripitaka's neck.
Also Sandy is a kappa, a japanese water demon.

WOOOT! You're HERE! Sorry. . . He doesn't usually have internet. I bet you stole Silver's computer, huh?

What do you mean you can't remember your other shows? You mean there are others?
Anyway, my favorite shows. . . . I'm a Joss Whedon fan of the first water. Anything he touches gains my respect. I love
Buffy and
Angel.
Firefly is my absolute favorite, though.
"Gao yang zhong de gu yang!"- Wash (translation: Motherless goat of all motherless goats!)I like
Monk and
Law and Order as well, but I don't watch them religiously.
I WANNA SEE MORE WHEDON SHOWS! Eight years on the air. . . . dang networks get me hooked and then cancel everything!

After giving it some thought, I find that I have some pretty morbid taste:
CSI(All of them)
Law and Order(All of them, including reruns)
Without a Trace
Cold Case
That is a whole lotta dead people I see everyweek!
My favorite is the Simpsons...It always makes me laugh regardless of how many times I see it...
Most of the time I watch the Discovery/TLC/PBS kind of channels though...

Simpsons, i'm afraid to say, has completely lost my interest.
There was a time, not to long ago, where it played 6 times a day and i would watch it EVERY time it was on.
Now, having seen every single episode over 10 times i find it tedious, and to be quite frank, in my opinion, the new episodes are complete arse. The humour has changed form somewhat witty to downright stupid.
*sigh* Tis a sad state when i have to say this about my beloved Simpsons. Bring on Family Guy!!
