What happened, was that the Yahoo! search engine featured this site in a newsletter that it distributed to all it's members, which resulted in a sudden surge of traffic. At the time, the site was not equipped to handle such a huge level of traffic simultaneously, so the site had to be shut down temporarily until the activity had died down. I managed to take a screenshot of the forum showing 123 people on-line just before we closed it down.
Nowadays we have the resources with which to handle a lot more traffic even than that, so one of these days we might just manage to beat that 123 record total.
