I have a question regarding a show I just finished watching about a
ghost named
Sallie. It turns out they believe the scratches that appeared all
over the mans body
were from a previous woman he knew. My question is, why didn't anyone do
a DNA testing on the scratches to see if he did it himself or his
wife. They made
a big deal of the scratches on his stomach bleeding while they were
video tapping.
Well I'm not a doctor but if you have an open cut and when you blood
is pumping
will it not come out the cut. everytime this man took a breathe the
cut appeared to
bleed just a tiny bit. Only they could see. My god, he just got up
from the chair
and the muscles in his stomach and the pressure from sitting in the
chair made
these cuts bleed. Still, DNA was never mentioned. At first they
thought it was
from a child named Sallie, and then they believed it was from a
jealous woman
in his past. No harm was ever down to his wife. The program was on
UPN50,
at 9:00am, titled "When Ghosts Attack".
thanks

I saw that episode on Unexplained Mysteries show during fall semester (it came on like at 1:00 a.m. on a Saturday night....yea I know pathetic). That was pretty crazy too. I don't know if it is real or not but all I know it was pretty intense and the possibility is there to be accurate but then again who knows.....

Depends on what kind of ghost, and its reasons...

How would they test for DNA on the scratches? I thought they tested that by having nails to check under and testng the skin beneath. As they only have the scratches, not the offending nails, they couldn't do much about it.
Or have I got that wrong?

nope you're right

to do DNA testing, you need a bit of the offender; it could be anything from a skin cell to a limb. with a ghost, you're not gonna have these things!
in my opinion, the sally case is a hoax. the guy can easily fake the scratches. i believe he got scratched while they were filming, and that's a little harder to explain. perhaps he can create those scratches by thinking hard about it?

I can't think how they'd be able to fake scratches appearing. The only thing I can think of is that technique where you stop and start recording, changing an element in a scene bit by bit so that, when you string it all together, it looks like something is moving/appearing slowly.
I can't see that as being an all that likely explanation for it though...

Just wanted to let you all know it was not a hoax. It was my husband that got scratched, and we lived through many paranormal experiences in that house. Some of it was left out for the "ratings" of the Sightings show (ie. the fact that there was more than 1 entity in the house and someone other than Sallie was responsible for the scratches. There was much more activity in the house also, spontaneous and very localizes fires, levitation of small objects, apportations, shifting of large furniture, cold spots, electrical appliances and toys going off, unplugged baby monitors emiting the sound of children's voices, and more. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have, however I do not get back to this board often. There is information regarding ongoing investigations of the house, EVP, video footage, research, experiences of others (not my husband or I) in the house and more at the following link.
Haunted VoicesLooking forward to answering your questions and hope to see you there.

Here we go: There's a crypt in London that was haunted and expossed to the public for "ghost walks" and it had to be shut down because too many people were getting assaulted or injured during the time they were down there.
If you watch a lot of stuff like that, there's this one house in which this guy was attacked and hung in the attic, his friend quickly came to his side and freed him. Stuff like this happens only to angrey as sin spirits.

Af anyone posted what I'm about to say sorry. Anyway Unexplained Mysteries showed this episode about three or four times. So I know what I'm talking about here. During one of the times that they were interviewing the husband/father he starated to bleed. And they actually showed it bleeding. So if this really was a hoax I doubt that he could find away to make himself bleed in front of many people. And doubt that he would hold up a razor and make himself bleed just to make the story look more accredible. You would have to be stupid and insane to do that.

I saw that about a few months ago on the Unexplained Mysteries show it was crazy to watch thinking it was real. But I also saw the same thing a long time ago on that show Sightings man that show ruled what ever happend to it?

If ghosts can move things why couldn't they hurt someone? It depends on there intentions.
I also don't see where a DNA test would prove anything......

I thought that was a investigation by the show Sightings. If that was the one, it was the first and only time that I actually thought that something really supernatural was going. To tazmanina: what happend to that house? did the occurences happen to next set of people that lived there? did it follow you when you moved out of the house? As scary as it was, I would have loved to eperience it. It would have proven alot of things to me.

Holy crap, your little picture scared the hell out of me.
But then your little signature underneath made me laugh. So we're good.
