Hi, i'm new to this site. I saw something a few weeks ago that freaked me out. I downloaded a video of an elledged ghost caught on camera - that of a young girl. I must say it looks convincing enough and i'd love to think it was genuine. The fact that this was caught during daylight hours makes it - somehow - even more frightening.
However, there are a couple of things about this short clip that make it , shall we say, less convincing.

1. The person with the camera first stumbles across the spectre and says "oh sh**", then quickly walks away. The person then goes back to the spot where the ghost is and when it comes into sight again screams and runs.
My problem with this is......why did it take two visits to the dark room where the ghost was before screaming and running? They obviously saw it the first time!

2. Secondly if you're running, scared out of your wits with a camera in your hand, you will forget about filming and just run! This person kept the camera straight as if they were still filming whilst runnung. Not the act of a person who has been scared out of their wits.

Unfortunately i can't find a link to the video, but if anyone knows about this, has a link or wants to share their opinion, please do.

Glad to have you join us here at UM The Orb. Ghosts and such caught on camera/video are (unfortunately) a dime a dozen and more often than not, they are proven to be fake. Your description is vague, and trying to find the photo your speaking of would be extremely difficult, if you can try and find it, please post it and you'll have many opinions.

That's the one! Well, what do you think. I can clearly see it. Many say they can't. Does anyone know where this was?

I saw shadows and what looked to me like a reflection of some sort. The video isn't the greatest quality, but I couldn't see anything that resembled a girl. That doesn't mean there wasn't anything there, it's only my opinion.

There is obviously something there! I can't understand why people can't see it.
Whether or not it is an apparition is another matter, but there is something that looks like a woman or a girl! It's right there!!!!

If you pause the video a couple of frames before the end, where the last panning shot takes place you can see what lloks like a little girls atanding in the corner of the room, ala 'Blair Witch' style, but the camera is so shaky and the image so brief, it really could be anything.

And the guy screams like a girl!

OK I just re-examined the footage and the same 'girl' is also at the beginning, just before the guy freaks out. If you pause it through, she is visible through the dark area of the room.

Fake.

Yeah she is visible but i don't think its fake. Maybe it's not a ghost, but either way, it's not faked.

Well, you were admitting at the beginning of the thread there were several things that made the video seem much less convincing. And if the "apparition" isn't a ghost, then of course it's faked.

My two cents on it is that it is. Too much freaking out and carrying on with camera... it seems totally staged.

yeah I definatly saw something a couple times. But yeah I can't tell if it's real or fake. But I do see something.

If this guy makes another video, I would be more than willing to watch it, but he needs to get a tripod, or steady hands, or a ghost hunter crew. The quality is too poor, and not convincing enough. The way that "ghost" seemed to let him video tape, he should have no problem making another, if he hasn't already moved out.

why did'nt they set up the cameras and leave them running! shock!

...then they would have solid evidence if it was real...

I said I thought it was less convincing, i didn't say i thought it was complete bullshit.
I just don't think it was staged. It may not be supernatural, but i don't think it was staged. The screams were too real.

I wasn't having a go mate, but I know people who can scream pretty convincingly without being scared.
