I wanted to share this story that happened when I was about seven. I don't think it had anything to do with the creature from my other post but it did happen in the same house during the times of those sightings. I just wonder if this has happened to anyone else...........

It was Saturday morning back before the time of cable, when kids had to wait all week long to watch some cartoons. I LOVED Saturday morning cartoons. I had my own routine....get up as early as possible grab some cereal and veg out for hours of Superfriends, Captain Caveman, Flintstones etc...

I couldn't have been in a better mood, more happy, or contented. I was the first one up, I had the tv all to myself!! Then I noticed a bunch of squawking coming from the front yard. I looked out my window and there were birds all over the place. I stood up and walked to the picture window and they all flew off, the largest flock I had ever seen. Still, I didn't think there was anything too peculiar about it, I just felt I had got to witness something a little special. I walked back to plop myself in front of the TV again when suddenly it started raining. Not outside! In my living room! I looked up at the ceiling and it looked completely normal except for the rain drops. I just kept staring at it, trying to figure out how it was happening and then it stopped. I ran in to wake up my mom. I told her "Mommy, it was raining in the living room!" She looked at me and said..."What happened to you?" Again I told her it rained. I drug her by the arm out to see the living room, it was completely dry. Nothing was dripping but me. She asked me how I did this...referring to my wet hair and jammies. I told her about the rain again. She went straight to the bathroom and opened the shower curtain. It was dry of course because I hadn't been in there. She went and got a towel from the closet and told me to get my clothes off. Then she told me if she ever found out that I had lied and done it myself that I was not going to be allowed out of my room anymore until she had gotten up too. Luckily it never happened again because I swear I was not responsible for it and I would have been sad beyond words to end my cartoon ritual! Has anyone heard of this before and if so could you please tell my mom, because I still don't think she believes me. sad.gif

I'm not sure what the ceiling was made of, the house was built in the 1950's, just a regular ranch style house. It had a small attic. We never had any water damage in the 20 years that my mom lived there. I can't recall if the floor felt wet under my feet at the time of the rain, I do know I was getting soaked.... in the couple minutes it took me to drag my mom from bed I do know that it was absolutely dry out there. It was not raining at all outside.

I saw, felt and heard the rain as it came down from the whole ceiling of the living room. It was not just coming down from one particular spot. I don't remember having any odd thoughts or feelings when it happened other than thinking it was kind of a fantastic event. It was just one of the most phenomenal experiences I have ever had and I felt that it was special and meant something. Maybe because that's just what I want to make of it though........who knows.......

Interesting. Was the rain an odd color? Perhaps it was a hole between worlds. Maybe it was ghost rain. I really have no explaination for this and by god weird @#%! always happens to me. Usually my hier druid explains whats happening or what happened. But i honestly have no idea what happened.

Yeah, I agree, You probably got caught in a different dimension or world which included the birds and while you thought you were in your living room, you were actually outside. You are ludky that you didn't get locked into the other world.

I see we're being logical.

I've heard of this before, but not too often. I think it's called "ghost rain." Not sure what it means I'll look in google.

I tried to google it myself yesterday and found nothing, I hope you have better luck than I did. I have never heard of ghost rain before. I don't know if that's what happened, but it's a neat concept....I hope I can find something on it eventually. Thanks.

I don't know about indoor rain, but Jerome Clark has a number of reports of all sorts of extremely bizarre, possibly paranormal varieties of rain in his book Unexplained, including colored rain, rains of spider webs, rains of flesh and blood, rains of living things (including species unknown to science), rains of money, and just about everything else you can imagine. I think the closest thing to your experience was a story about rain that just fell between two trees, and nowhere else. If I remember the story right, it did not seem to come from the sky but simply materialized a short distance up. I think most of the material was originally taken from books written by Charles Fort. Also the "Handbook of Unusual Natural Phenomena" by William R. Corliss has a lot of really rare weather phenomena, but I doubt that it includes indoor rain.

I asked my hier druid of it and he has no idea! blink.gif Which surprises me to no end really it seems you have been given a message from nature itself. It's telling you "stop watching so many god damned cartoons." lol J/K
