thast interesting... I only saw one at first until I looked at the close up... looks like balloons...

They seem to have white upper parts and black underneath, but each is at a slightly different angle... This may sound obvious, and I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but birds seen from a particular angle as they catch the sun can look very like something different ... and somewhere like that you might find some birds large enough to catch the sun like that...

cool find...weird stuff man...

I agree they could possibly be balloons and if miskis comes on here she can verify if there was a party anywhere in the near area.

But birds? They don't even look slightly like birds. Wings are visible even on birds that are in the distance. These objects are perfectly round.

If they have their wings in a certain position, and they're viewed side on, they might not be recognizable straight away; there's one theory that Kenneth Arnold's sighting over the Cascade Mountains in 1947 that sparked the whole thing off was a formation of some sort of large white birds, catching the sun as they flew. I'm not saying I necessarily beleive it, but it's one theory that's been thrown into the mix.

I concure with the baloon resemblance, however I noticed 2 on the wide angle and caught the 3rd one in the middle on the close-up, interesting...

They appear sort of oblong or egg-shaped, but if you zoom in on them you can see that the black part on the bottom is slightly wider than the white part on top. Very odd.

Edit: Both the top and bottom are very rounded though, nothing pointing out from them anywhere, as you might expect with a bird, even at an odd angle. I also might expect one bird to look like something different at a certain angle, but for 3 birds to fool the eye and all 3 to also look so rounded would be stretching it a bit.

Its to bad your friend did not have zoom on maybe they would be clearer, i really have to say they look to close to each other to be ufo's but i will also so they could be pic's not really good enough to tell grin2.gif

Hello all..I am Carolyn, Rayce's friend who took this photo.
To start, let me try and answer the obvious Q's presented here.
1. Balloons, no parties anywhere near the area. It is pretty much miles from anything. Though always a possibility of wind swept balloons, size wise they would be BIG balloons, and ballons would have moved slow enough to be in at least one of the following shots no?
2. Birds, while we (my other half and myself) did think they could be birds, zoomed in, there is like Rayce said, no evidence that we could see of wings, tail, beak or legs.

If You look, the black bird image you see is a hawk with open wingspan they are about 4 feet wide to give you a reference for the size of the 'balls'.

The shot was taken from a good mile distance, across a river and large canyon., so size is hugely distorted.

*edit* Also, the only large birds in the area are hawks, and they photo black for the most part, at least in all the bad hawk photos I've taken. wink2.gif I've never seen them reflect or look white like that. Misshapen yes, but always more oblong and black/dark.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the conundrum original.gif

wavey.gif WELCOME!! MKIS! wavey.gif

What you have in your picture are definitely - Unidentified Flying Objects!

It's hard to tell exactly what they are - balloons, birds, etc.? Hmm . . . dontgetit.gif

thats pretty interesting....

They are definitely not birds, they are UFO's, as to anything else I'm not sure.
