I came accross a few trailers on the net about a fan-film that some guy is making by useing the cutscenes and recording actuall gameplay in order to make a 2 hour film. The first episode is to be released on the net July 4th.

[edit] Okay, I saw the trailer and may I say, it is quite an anticipating movie to see! I saw some cut scenes from the game, but making a movie is very hard. You need a Choreographer, multi-positioned cameras, I felt like it was a trailer to a video game more than a movie. But trailers really don't show it all, and I hope I can really enjoy this movie when it comes out .

ok, Ive seen it its pretty darn good! Ive been informed that Tavish (the creator) is going to revise the first episode cause audio is a little off in a few area's. basicly this version is to keep off death threats to him so withing the next few days a version 2.0 (with a better sounding Master Chief) will be released.

Yeah i downloaded it and watched it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Im looking forward to the next part. My only problem with it, like Padawan pointed out, was Master Chief's voice. It sounded nothing like he does in the game. They really didnt need to alter the voice in any way. Ill probably download the v. 2.0 when its released too.

Ummm..... not much of a movie.... all he did was edit and dubb the voices.... you guys do know that a REAL movie is being produced with the Halo story right?

Yeah and from what Ive heard about the Halo movie, is that Uwe Boll might get the rights to it and make it, so i dont have much hope for the real movie right now.

Wow...just the trailer? I would've thought that the actual episode would be out now. I haven't watched the first since it was first released. I actually liked it though, so I'll definately be watching this.

Uwe Boll is not makinf this movie either SS or PJ are making it or some other unkown director

the reason each episode takes so long is because its pretty much one person running the whole show.

Whats the big deal with this? Anyone with basic computer skills can do this with Imovie. Why dont they just play the game? all that stuff is in there, and it came out a year ago. Lmao the voiceover for the second trailer could have been left out......

Machinima is a pretty difficult proccess for one person. you have to play as both the "camera" as well as the actor. and be sure not to get any unwanted icons on screen.

then after the filming is done. you have to synchronise and edit your shots. then voice over work.

the reason its so cool is because it is a movie adaptation of the Halo series. the first ive seen of its kind. and while the voice over work isnt the best its still exceptional.
