I was just browsing through some threads on pyramids and noticed that most of the mentioned that Pyramids have magical preserving properties. So why not make a Pyramid fridgerator? Add a few days onto the milk's expiry date? And hwo about making triangular 'vaults' for preserving documents like the Magna Carta. Just a thought.

A simple reason for not doing that, actually.

They don't work.

Pyramids have no preserving power, magical or otherwise. If they did, the corporate world would have created a line of expensive, yet easily and cheaply produced, appliances for the kitchen.

Interesting post and for my contribution I offer the idea that Pyramids have 'special powers of preservation'...now I have never tried this but have read in several places that if you make a pyramid to the correct scale and dimensions of those found in Egypt out of carboard or wood, or whatever, and place food inside it and a 'control' outside it, then the food inside the pyramid remains in a better state than the food outside. Also a blunt a razor blade will become sharpened. The pyramid must be aligned so its four points align with NSEW on the compass, if you get my drift.

I quote Mr B. I know it seems a bit farfetched, but maybe there's some truth in this.

Time to conduct an experiment grin2.gif

what ever you read about preserving was probably embalming

Unfortunately, we cannot make a pyramid shaped refridgerator because the Ancient Egyptians patented the pyramid. Any pyramid shaped fridge would thus involve royalties being paid to our anciet past. Companies can't afford to do this no.gif

All the best,

there's not much truth in this idea, pyamids were made to hold the dead and there treasure, not milk and cookie! but i have heard this argument before to bad it does not work it get's hot in egypt! w00t.gif laugh.gif

I wonder how much beer you could fit into one of those suckers.

I dont think 5000 year old Pyramids have better preserving abilities than airtight chambers in The Vatican Archives Or in Washington D.C.
