My favorite cryptid is always the big frightening ones.
Ex: Megladon, Nessy, Giant squid, boogyman, and that toothfairy! ( j/k)
So.. i voted scream.
Of course i would SCREAM, then haul arse.. that is.. if i didnt faint first.

I have a funny way of remaining calm and cool when anything extremely stressful or life-threatening happens to me. It's not done puposefully, but I tend to blank out any superflous things until the situation is handled..
So basically, I'd probably get killed, but it would be with a minimum of fuss or screaming..

Normally when I see a snake I jump. ( We all know that you're meant to stand still if it's close).
The other day hubby found a lovely python sunning itself even though it's the middle of winter. When we were returning from our walk hubby yelled out snake and for the first time I stood still.
He was joking but it makes me wonder how easy is it for us to learn not to automatically jump or scream when confronted with something out of the ordinary.

BTW.. the tracks I found have come back inconclusive they can't even give me a guestimate of what made them.
This just goes to show you that even if you do find something of interest you still can't get answers.

First I would freeze, then quickly but quietly grab the nearest video camera and get proof of the creatures existence. Then I would make copies and sell them on the internet.

I would probably freeze with fear or faint. You really can't guess what you would do in a situation like that until it happens.

It would depend on what cryptid it is.

Bigfoot/Yowie: scream and probably die of fright

Goat sucker: KILL IT!!!

Thylacine: back away quietly and try not to disturb it (after taking a photo of course!)

Alien Big Cat: back away quietly

Nessie or Ogopogo: Swear very loudly

Thunderbird: run for cover

I'd prolly try to take a good look, perhaps a pic or two and then sneak away like a ninja hoping not to be it's next meal

lol if i ever saw a crptid that was dangerous and i had no weapon with me i would beat my meat like neveer before and then skeet in his eyes

It would depend on what the cryptid was. If it was a bigfoot, I would hope it was in a nice mood and back away slowly. Something more like a predatory animal, maybe a thylacene (sp?) I would prolly pick up a stick and try to scare it away so that it did not hurt me or anyone around me.

I know how i react because i've seen a cryprid a long time ago. I screamed like a little girl and ran away. Definatly not one of my most favoured moments let me tell you.
