SYDNEY (Reuters) - A Singapore Airlines flight made an unscheduled stop to eject a passenger who became unruly after a heated argument with his girl friend, and the man may have to pay the A$25,000 bill (10,230 pounds).

A spokesman for Singapore Airlines said it was exploring ways to get the man to pay the additional costs, such as landing charges, caused by the unexpected stop in Darwin during a flight from Singapore to Brisbane.

Michael Edward Donovan, an Australian, had been having a heated discussion with his girlfriend, "involving a lot of profanity", and then became more unruly when flight crew refused to serve him a drink.

I'm certainly glad I wasn't on that flight! Why do some people have to get so angry? sad.gif
