There was a group of people that went to the bar and got drunk and one of the ladys in the group wanted to dance so she started dancing with this man in a trench coat but when she looked down he had the hooves of a devil and other animal parts everyone stormed out of the bar and after that night was closed

Welcome to the forum wish there was a little more info to your story. Also maybe it would be good in sightings, reports, experiences section of the forum. This is a good post, but not that good for Cryptozoology section of the forum.

Crypto is good for Chupacabra, Bigfoot, and thing of that nature.

Welcome to the forum though hope you stick around.

Well, it's also for legends too..And this sounds like a classic uerban legend to me..
Think about it..Were it true people would be lining up to pay cover charge at twice the price to drink at the bar Satan danced at..
Instead it's just closed..
It was probably a liquor-license violation or drug-raid that closed it, and lacking any real details somebody made up this story instead..

This turned out to be a hoax. Someone (sorry, don't have the info right now) tracked down the bar and interviewed the people who were supposedly working on the night this was to have taken place. They responded that no such event took place. It's nothing more than an urban legend.

You also left out the part where the alleged devil took away the dancing woman's body and soul, and she was never seen again.

Was the lady who was dancing also drunk? Because if she was, that could easily explain everything.

I heard a similar story and found it. Here is one of many.

"[de Vos, 1996, as circulated in Danzig in 1875]
It is said that one of the last Sundays [before Lent] a servant woman went to confession and communion. Despite the reprimands of her mother, an honest laundress, who warned her not to desecrate the day by mundane festivities, she couldn't resist the temptation and was going that same night to dance at The Vineyard [a ballroom situated in an inner suburb of Danzig].

The punishment for her impiety came quickly. Around midnight, she saw a handsomely dressed stranger with black hair and eyes that glistened like onyx, coming towards her to ask her for a dance. She took his arm with pleasure as they began to dance with perfect grace, but faster and faster . . .

One of the musicians watched the dancing people carefully, and one can imagine how he felt when he noticed that the stranger had the cloven hoof of Satan! He drew his comrades' attention to it, and in the very middle of the waltz they were playing, they changed the tune and broke into a religous hymn. The clock struck twelve, the devil pulled his partner close to him and in a frantic whirl crossed with her to the other side of the room and crashed through the window. The girl was found lying on the green grass in the garden covered with broken glass. The devil had disappeared." --from www.snopes.com

The Dancing Devil

San Antonio is a very interesting place year round. There are city-wide
parties at the drop of a hat. During the Christmas season, the River Walk is lit
by 80,000 colorful lights and roamed by tourists from all over the world.
Each of the many ethnic groups (Hispanic, German, Czech, Polish, Greek, etc.)
that contribute to the history and heritage of Texas have festivals throughout
the year.

But in October, Hispanic traditions dominate, giving Halloween in San Antonio
a unique twist on the day's theme.

On Halloween, it is said, El Diablo (The Devil) appears for a night on the
town. He dresses in the finest attire, with one notable exception (but we'll
get to that in a moment). He visits many night spots across town, having a
preference for the low-lit, smaller establishments. He wines and dines the
prettiest young woman he can find. She is enchanted with him, not knowing his
true nature. Then he asks her to dance.

Intoxicated by his charm and uncommon good looks, she accepts the invitation.
The dance begins. The young woman is held spellbound by his eyes as they
dance in the close confines of the club.

Invariably, however, she looks down at the floor, after a mis-step perhaps.
What she sees then makes her scream in horror. The impeccably dressed man with
whom she has been infatuated all night has the feet of a chicken!

The Devil then laughs, and during the confusion that ensues, retreats
to a dark corner and vanishes in a foul, sulfurous cloud of smoke.

The Dancing Devil 2
Some say San Antonio is the place of dreams and the center of nightmares. Especially on holidays. One to remember is a Halloween Party. Many Have heard the story and it has been told in different versions. This is my Version.

One night, a young man dressed in a top hat and black cape walked to town to a small party. Some say he was very well dressed and very nice looking. When he entered the party he sat on the wall untill he saw the prettiest girl there. He singled her out to dance and when he did, the dance floor cleared to make room for only the couple.

As they danced, people began to point and everyone backed to the walls of the room. The young girl looked to see why they were pointing at her nice looking young friend. She looked down, and instead of seeing feet, she saw cloven hooves!

The young man then grabbed her arm and jumped out the window. A young child ran to the window and began screaming that the man not only had cloven hooves, he also had to horns under his top hat that he had dropped . The crowd didnt believe it.They quickly took the child away They only thought of the doomed girl and of the man dressed in a halloween "costume".

As the crowd looked out, they saw only the young girl a shower of glass all around her, and a black top hat with two holes in the top.
