'This story is about American weapons built with Uranium components for the business end of things. Just about all American bullets, 120 mm tank shells, missiles, dumb bombs, smart bombs, 500 and 2,000 pound bombs, cruise missiles, and anything else engineered to help our side in the war of us against them has Uranium in it. Lots of Uranium.

In the case of a cruise missile, as much as 800 pounds of the stuff. This article is about how much radioactive uranium our guys, representing us, the citizens of the United States, let fly in Iraq. Turns out they used about 4,000,000 pounds of the stuff, give or take. That is a bunch.'

No prob dmgspycat. On the contrary, this is a subject I wish more people would pay more attention to. Despite the "official" reports that there is no danger to civilian and military personnel, I feel there should be more study into the short and long term affects of the use of DU weapons.

I think most people are good and they would do something if they knew what to do...but thats the problem...what? There are so many important issues like this one that are being ignored by the news and politicians and I wonder what will it take to get their attention to change it? A repeat of the 1960's...all those beatings, jailings and killings just for a few lousy rights and protesting a corrupt Veitnam war. Where are the issues?

Also think of todays dangerous protesting climate...there were some peaceful protests against the School of the Americas down in Ft Benning GA and the protesters were jailed and 2 are still there...facial recognition software was used at the Republican National Convention last year. Are we the terrorists as we want to change for the protection of the environment? Remeber that the FBI bombed that ladys car from some Earth First organisation? The corporations responsible for these policies have us in a stranglehold.
