I heard once that supposedly a group - I don't know what country they were from or who was funding this - went under the sphinx and found a city from an advanced civilization. And that this group also discovered an energy shield thing like something from Stargate or any other sci-fi show with the energy forcefield deflector kind of shields. They claimed that not even bullet could penetrate this "energy field."

Now, the Sphinx is the "tomb" of the God Thoth. So whether it is really guarding this under that is under it that quite possibly Thoth had some association with, or not can all be a matter of interpretation.

I had heard that there was an ancient library below the Sphinx somewhere, and proof of alien involvement in the evolution of the Egyptian people.

Why does all of this seem to come from one source: Stargate SG-1 Dr. Jackson's theories and research...

We should all get together and dig a tunnel to find out for ourselves.

what who knows what is under there they know there is a door there yet they haven't tryed to open it yet dure to fear of damaging the old thing but hey would be nice to find out . Egytians were a very smart group of people i mean come on the egytian lilly( the one you see in all the pic of there females covered with these flowers) in pic you think it was for just the beauty lol well you would be wrong the old egytian lilly wich is now almost dead is stronger then are modern day viagra LOL and they socked this in wine and the ladys wared these on them lol how else you think clyopatra got so much LOL they new what it did and used it well. who knows what they might find there. you already know they have to rewrite our history books after finding a battery in one of the tombs. and in many tooms there is no torch residua that we should see from them lighting the tombs as they carved and pained the beautiful pic on the walls yet there is non look up the hyrogliphacs and in one of the many so called undesifered pics you see a man holding a long rounded object with a snake running in the middle of it and if you look at it it kind of reminds you of a ligh bulb lol the only resian we think we know what every thing means is due to rosetta stone yet that did not have all the words or hyrogliphics on it so we still have more to learn i hope they do open it and do it on live tv lol so all can see what is there lol but hey one can hope

Actually I heard there is a corridor underneath, that leads to one of the tombs or so it would seem for the entire length has not been excavated yet. However as far as forcefileds go....you can pretty much make sure its someone that watches too much Stargate. or Star Trek....they do love their forcefields there....

well they is no city there but archaeologist have found a door at the base of the fix lol so that tells us it is more then just a monument to the gods. Now the question is will they ever open the dam thing up. they atm are afraid to do to the fact they do not know if it will damage the phix. after all that thing served a flood and god knows what else. with the blocks slowly cording at a extremely slow rate. and other things they aren't i believe gonna open it up any time soon. Yikes! A city underneath the Sphinx? I have to agree with Marduk on this one. Did I just say that? I must need my head examined. Me agreeing with Marduk is like saying Tom Cruise isn't a honry old man!

well i do not know about the flintstone's but i would bet a months pay there was no city there on second thought make that two months! unless they hid atlantis under there,thus explaining why we can not find it either!

Some interesting things about the Sphinx...

The architecture suggests an older civilization carved the block...also the inside corners of these giant blocks are carved to turn the corner so that they interlock better.

The head of the Sphinx is believed to have been carved at a much earlier date (5000BC?).

It was probably built in the age of Leo which would put it at around 10,000 BC.

There is water damage to the Sphinx to suggest it was built before a great flood in that area by an older civilization.

I haven't read all of Platos works but I have heard of certain parts mentioning his talking with an Egyptian priest who was relaying some ancient Egyptian lore which stated that the Egyptians are the descendants of those they called the "First-timers"...they lived in a world that was for the most part advanced, civilised...they had Astronomy, Math...Alchemy, the ability to mine and shape metals. It is said that the continent that the Egyptians were originally from was wiped out after a great cataclysm...maybe the great flood of around 10,000BC?

Thoth was thought of as a "first-timer" who lived in that ancient and unknown city on another continent.


No doubt someone will dispute some of these things and the ones Im most unsure about are about Platos works...maybe there are some of you who have read them? If so please feel free to correct me. As far as that stargate stuff goes....that would be akin to believing in magic...and since magic doesn't exist it cant be believed...its hard enough sifting through historical records.

There are two ways i look at this. On one hand, the sphinxs should be pulled up, truth's unearthed etc. But on the other it should be left there, for man to marvel at what lies inside.

Zahi Hawass won't let anyone dig under the sphinx... Sorry, shovels and dust pans won't do much good.
