i thought the Video was 'Interesting', however it was to faint and therfore hard to make out so i beleive this probably was a fake.

First of all, I read every post regarding this video.I have to say that with every claim, I watched it again to see what others pointed out. First of all, and I am sorry but I can't go without saying this, my stomach hurts from laughing at the guys scream. I know, you guys are sick of hearing it, but damn.....my stomach really hurts. ALMOST as much as the whole scooby doo ghosts at that haunted mansion, but not quite. That was much funnier.
Anyway, my personal opinion is inconclusive due to lack of evidence. It was much more believable than the ghost son thing, that looked like a trick of video, very similar to various popular movies showing ghosts and apparitions moving about.
I believe it is highly possible that the guy thought it was real. He sounded genuinly frightened. I am only convinced it is a he because someone said it was. Up until I read here that it was a guy, I was totally convinced it was a woman with a rough voice, like that woman from beetlejuice with her throat cut.
ANYWAY....I will not say "It was real" or "It was fake" because there is not enough evidence to support either. I will merely say it COULD be fake, but it COULD be real. Gee, I am SOOOO helpful,huh? lol.
I would also like to point out that I am loving this. The discussion, how serious people can get, lots of you make very valid points about the things you believe, and the things you witness. Its great!
I would also like to point out that some of you are extremely creative with your avitars and signatures. I love them! Can't wait to see more I will find one that suits my personality soon, and hopefully you guys can give your opinion on how well I do. I think my favorites are of Kenny being killed, and the MIB one with the "flashy thing". I also noticed a few very attractive (and yet somewhat creepy) guys as well. Do those of you with pictures of real people use a pic of yourself, or is it just a pic you like?

Don't you remember at the VERY end it shows the guy (I think it was the guy, could have been the girl, can't remember which now that I think about it), but he/she was standing in the corner? then the video goes all crazy and the camera falls or something?
I'm not saying I agree that the two are similar, I am just pointing out the reference I think most have been talking about.

I've seen this video in another site, all you all are seeing is part of it. It's a very long video. And there is a story behind it. It's an abandoned building called the Smith Building. The guy that has the video camera is actually part of a construction crew that was hired to do some work in the building! But there are stories about while they worked, stuff was thrown at them and they also seen this girl there as well. If you saw the whole video, you would see and hear the stuff that is being thrown at him. Doors being slammed shut by themselves. Also, this video made the news. The Smith Building is located in Corpus Christi, TX. That's all the information I have. The site I belong to has the whole video in forum!!!

That video never scared me. It always brings a smile to my face. the scream flippin hilarious. But I could hardly see a girl though. All i see is a very light painting on the wall

I disagree. Maybe it has to do with my settings. I could definately tell there was something or someone there. That isn't to say it is real, but at the very least, it looked like someone standing in a corner.

Here's what i know of the story: A contractor group was putting sheet rock in this building becuz it was being turned into a apt complex. Well weird things would happen to them while working. Things being thrown at them, doors slamming, even full bodied apperitions. Well the contractors were so scared that they told the owner they wanted out of the contract. The owner said no, and he wanted proof. So the contractors got a video camera and went into the building. And if you've seen the video, you know what happens!!

That is pretty messed up. If he really is a contractor trying to get out of the contract, I could see where he might go up over and over if he is trying to get definate proof, but that could very well mean they staged it some how. I dunno though, seeing those grown men afraid to even go up there, they really look scared. Did anyone else watch all of these? One of the door slammings I saw, he could have staged. Another, it appeared he was too far away to have done it, so I just don't know.

That is entirely too much for casual internet browsing.

The other paranormal site that I belong to is where I originally seen it. And pretty much all of them seen it! And when I search the net for smith building video, I see alot of forums where people have been talking about it. It apparantly was on the internet before and got deleted intirely once. or rather no one could find it, but this video was found and brought to our site in Dec. It's like someone didn't want it on here. I heard that it was all over the news in Corpus Christi, TX. And I even heard from someone at the site that it actually made it to primtime live or 20/20 or something like that.

I wonder if that is true... If it was in fact on 20/20, I sure would like to see the footage on the interviews with the guys. I still feel like even if the video was faked, it was a pretty good story behind the hoax, and the guys sure did fake their fear pretty well. I mean, in the longer videos, that guy holding that huge crucifix was just classic! That thing looked to be as broad as he was! LOL
I was talking to my aunt today, and she told me that you can always tell when a man is REALLY scared, when he screams like a girl like that! *giggle*

The girl that metioned that the video was on the news and stuff lives in Corpus Christi where it is said the smith building is. I'd love to see the footage they showed on 20/20 myself, but I haven't been able to find a link or anything to it. No one posted one at the other site either. If you have any better luck finding it, please let me know.

Hi everyone Im bring this thread back to the top to explain a little bit about what you are supposed to be seeing because everybody deserves to see this. Recently I have watched this video make its rounds on the net after I thought it was long dead and overlooked. And I wouldnt be posting this if I didnt see so many negative comments about the clip... clip I personally edited.

A few years ago when this video came out, I just had to see it. Soon after I got ahold of the full 20 minute long vid of this guy going from room to room searching for the girl. Problem was the quality took a hit when the VHS copy was copied again to mpeg which made the rooms too dark to actually make out what he was screaming about.

So I took the video, cut out all the good parts, and enhanced the lighting so you can actually see into the room. The quality took a hit again unfortunately and thats the video all of you were watching from putfile or anywhere else.

There are 4 scenes total of which 3 you see the girl simply standing in the corner. The other one which is hard to make out is of her actually walking from left to right. This would be scene 3 and only lasts maybe 2 seconds. A helpful hint is to turn up the contrast on your monitor and keep the screen resolution to the original size or it will become too grainy... Ive seen this problem on several other boards like and even I couldnt see her anymore.

I personally believe the video is real and encourage everybody to take another look!

Eh I watched it, Hard to tell anything about it really, I mean yeah I did see the girl, and the guy does seem genuienly freaked out, still though if it were me, I would have at least tried talking to her......well....maybe...

if you mess with the contrast and your screen settings size n all that, you can see it alot better actually, and go frame by frame on a few parts, its worth it.

i don't think that its weird that he keeps going back to the room. If it was anyone of us i'm pretty sure we'd all do the same thing yea you can say that you'll keep your cool and investigate it more. But when your there and what your scared of is in this one room you do things you wouldn't normally do. First off Id keep going back just to make sure i got what ever i saw on video so id know i wasn't going insane. Second Id keep going back to make sure it was still in that one room to make sure it wasn't seeking up on me. Thats not kosher, thats not "cool" If your a ghost just stay in the one room be creepy I'll scream and that would be it. But sneaking up on me now thats just not necessary.lol

If you all saw the FULL version then youd believe the clip is 100% real.

The guy holding the camera was actually more than 1 person. There was a small group of Mexican workers in the building at the time and they were handing the camera off to one another. So the first sighting was 1 guy... after he ran out of the room he went outside the building and gave the camera to the guy you heard screaming all the time.

There were many instances that would pass for paranormal activity such as seeing objects fall in front of hte camera and get tossed at the camera and even hearing a mans voice... could easily be one of the workers though too. The guy behind the camera seemed to think it was the ghost of the girls father since they apparently died in teh building. All of the other evidence would be impossible to prove except for the actual sightings.

But again the 3rd time the guy walks in teh room you see the girl walk! The guy was freaking out and never got a decent shot of her but you can clearly see her take 2-3 steps towards the wall. Helps to break the vid down frame by frame.

Was he trying to scare the ghost back or was just just his normal terrified scream.

I am betting those were screams of terror and if anything the girl was just as terrified. She was afterall seen facing the corner of the room in the 4th scene... its unfortunate no real investigation could be done into the place. And as far as I know(i dont know much) that is the only evidence ever collected from that building.

Haha. Sounds like he was drinking while screaming. Sounded like a gurgle/scream...lmao. I think it was real...but hard to say. Truth detectors would have come in soooo damn handy.....

I would say it's very fake. The quality is way too conveniently poor.

And you are free to believe whatever you want. But the reason for the poor quality was already explained. The camera was one of the OLD VHS types and the footage was taken in a dark room. There was no electricity in the building and those old cameras(hell even news ones) have a difficult time capturing light in a dark room. So the outcome is a grainy picture of whats really there. Plus the VHS was copied several times and then copied to .mpeg to be viewed on the computer. People with the original copy say the picture is considerably better but it seems like only a small handful of individuals like myself actually take the time to make this stuff viewable for everyone to see.

I dont know what you are afraid to admit but I have a feeling even if the picture was clear youd claim they were filming a doll.

For the record, I do believe in the supernatural, but I still don't believe the footage is real. I believe most pictures and video footage of ghosts are fake. This film is too blurry for me to discern it as anything. if I could see a clearer image, I'd have a better opinion, but as it is I think it's fake.

OK I will tell you how I came across this site and the Video, well I ofund the video first when I clicked Whats New on Limewire (Admins if i can't talk about this then just delete the name please) and downloaded it. Well after I saw it i was pretty sure it was real although my MSN buddies either said Its Fake or Im not sure. SO I googled Ghost Girl and then found this place after some other WEbsites about another Ghost Girl, well I read though all the pages and I still wasn't sure and when i sent the site to a friend she was still sure it was n't real.

WELL when i found out it was edited (Points to quote) from the original Clips so you saw the ghost in a better light and instead of watching the whole thing just saw the Ghost 'Herself'. WELL i watched the whole thing whats also been posted I found myslef with questions with sanstifiying answers.

The first one was the Past of the building.

The second one was the scream I found this Comedy Gold when I heard it first,

A. He's Mexican from what i saw of him and his friend so he has a higher voice than us (unless your mexican)

and

B. It was an Andrenaline Scream, after what you see on the 'Edited Clip' He carries on and it turns into laughter while he runs down the stairs.

The third was Why did he go back, well on the whole thing everytime he see's her he runs all the way down the stairs and back outside where his friend (Or Dog as he calls him) and tells him he 'got her' and has a well diserved victory of Catching his Brethe.

The fourth was why does the girl keep apearing in different rooms, well like i said before the guy run's right down though the Big building (You see how big on the last one) and back to his mate, well this would give ANYONE (Even a Snail) enough time to go to another room let alone something thats known to disapear and reapear (I mean ghosts in general).
Although the 'Girl' does appear in the same place twice (Like you see in the Edited bit) but when he goes up there the third time she's not there and he even stands in the same place as the 'Girl' was at.


The Fifth was why was it such a bad quality of Video. WELL Its a crappy early 90's VHS one and as you see in the whole thing it makes Sound distorted and the Video keeps going in and out.

Although they were some light sounds that I wasn't sure if it was the Crappy VHS or the Girl itself.


I Personally think after seeing the whole thing that the Ghost is real why i hear you shout well here's another list.


1. THE SIGHTINGS THERE ACCTUAL SIGHTINGS ESECIALLY THE FOURTH TIME, You can acctually see the outline of the 'Girl' as it hasn't been edited and made lighter so you can acctually see the outline of her (I know i just said that) more and it isn't just some whole in the wall.

2. That guy was genrealy scared he had to keep going back downstairs and outside to his friends so he could compose himself and won't panic to much or get lost when he goes back up. His friend 'Dog' doesn't go back up with him after the first time you see him. They were so scared they even had Holy stuff on them i.e. 'Dogs' Massive crucifix and it wasn' just some Cross or some pieces of wood he nailed together it was acctually the whole Jesus Christ Catholic Crucifix.

3. Who in hell would leave a Living little girl in that big place all on her own untill she is hunted down again what takes some time.

4.Things do move around, Doors do bang and stuff does get thrown at him (although I do think that was him turning the lights off and on), a good tip if your gonna watch them is to Remember the Ladder he shows you.








SO GO BACK TO PAGE 11 AND LOOK AT THE WHOLE THING BEFORE YOU START SAYING ITS FAKE
