Bands like Pink Floyd and The Who reinforce my opinion that class never goes out of style.

Nope - I thought Paul Mcartney and U2 absoloubtly owned in the opening.
Pink were good, but there was too much hype and they couldn't pull through for it.

It was great to see Pink Floyd on stage, together again. Considering some of the animosity between Gilmore and Waters, the opposite directions the band was pulled in back in the day, it's no wonder that Live 8 was the first show since 1994 with both geniuses on stage.

The body language between them is still very tense...so i guess no world tour ...YET
fLOYD WERE BRILLIANT ....They also played wish you were here BTW !
Daltrey and Townsend rocked the house ,best i've ever seen them.
Highlights for me ?....The WHO and Floyd

I only put it on for The Who and Floyd
I'd have preferred the Who to have played all 3 CSI themes songs though

As for Floyd. A great moment in music history

And what a line up of support acts they had for their reunion gig

(PS who was that wally wot came on the stage after the concert and tried singing some boring old Beatles songs? Should have been chucked off and we could have had
Shine on and
Another Brick in the Wall to finish the day with

Floyd were awesome, great to see them back on stage. It was emotional when Gilmour and Waters hugged. I was trying not to weep.

So I heard that the Floyd bandmembers got in such a row after the concert that they are off speaking terms again. Has anyone else heard that? I mean, not like I am surprised...

Um, the last time Gilmour and Waters played live together was in 1981 at Lodon's Earl's Court at the end of The Wall Tour. The last time Gilmour played with Mason and Wright as Pink Floyd was in 1996 during the P.U.L.S.E. Tour.
I hope they make a new album, but that probably won't happen, because Waters is knee deep in making an album already.

I found a couple of videos on the net of Floyd singing "wish you were here"
and "Comfortably Numb" , all in all the bass player was a little rusty with singing. the lead singer/Guitar player was perfect. (sorry I dunno their names).
ah,good ole' Floyd!

I wish I could have seen it to see Paul. Though im very dissapointed Ringo wasnt there. That would have been great to see him and Ringo play together again.
